This is one of those hotels that you will want to stay forever. The location is unique, where you will have not matter which room an amazing view. I think the mountains views are the best! I stayed here in early November. I was a little nervous because some of the reviews made it sound awful. Maybe they remodeled some and upgraded since those reviews. Either way, I loved it. Super easy to find off Rt. 1, maybe 25 minutes outside of Vik. The cottage was super clean and cozy. No couch, but I'm assuming that's because there was a double bed in the "living room" and a separate bedroom on the same floor. If you plan to stay overnight in south Iceland do not miss this gem. I am between providing a 4 star or 5 star review, but will tip it up to 5. It’s probably like a 4.25. Overall was one of our favorite stays in Iceland.
