"Excellent stay, place is so nice and clean and well kept. Hosts, Valerie et Lauren are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfect. You do need a car to get to the place and to get around. The drive up to the place on a hill could be challenging for weak driver."

"The Tahiti Pearl Resort is a wonderful place to stay, it is a quiet, clean and safe resort. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant food was good and the service was excellent. My wife is Celiac, + allergies to Soy, Rice and Oats and the kitchen staff did everything within their means to ensure that she was able to have a meal that was safe for her dietary restrictions. I would not hesitate to recommend for any one to stay here, and if you do, splurge and book the Viche Message, you won't regret it, best experience ever."

"Overall a nice place to stay with a few caveats. Easy check-in with the keys on the counter and quick response by email. We stayed in Aura where two rooms have AC and one does not - was not a problem for our stay. The third room has a fan. The rooms have plenty of open shelf space for clothes.The deck overlooking the lagoon and private pool were favorites. There was a nice breeze during our stay. Bring bug spray though (as with most places on island). It would have been nice to have hand towels and wash clothes, not just bath and beach towels. Also, some hooks in the bedroom to hang up towels or clothes. The shower has body wash and shampoo; some shelves for personal washing supplies would be helpful. There was a lot of roof noise one particular night from what we think were birds collecting seeds from the tree overhead. Our neighbors didn't have the same foilage so this may be specific to our Villa. It bothered some of us more than others, so if you are a light sleeper, the islands of Tahiti in general can be noisy with dogs, roosters and other wildlife. The WiFi worked well but we had to request the password. This proved difficulty since we had spotty personal service. There were chocolates left for us at check-in which was a nice welcome. Thank you for sharing your Villa with us."

"This place is magical. Beautifully landscaped, the decor and layout is inviting and original. The owner, Martine, was incredibly helpful with any needs we had, full of tips on what to do and proud to share her knowledge of the place. It is a tranquil oasis, interrupted only by the clucking of roaming chickens and roosters. Perfect for a relaxing get away in paradise."

"Great property, we only stayed for the day, had late night flight. Enjoyed the pool, beaches on site open to the public. The Restaurant was very good, great staff. The Negative was coming off cruise the hotel was not prepared to handle the customers that were checking out or checking in. They wanted to charge $90 for early check in before 2pm. Our room was not ready at 2pm, we arrived at 10am. They did allow us to use the pool and facilities until our room was ready. Our room was very clean and roomy."

"If you want or need "fancy", Punatea Village may dissappoint. But if you insist on charming, pleasant, beautiful, and inspiring, you'll love this place. It's a bit "out of the way", but then that's perhaps its best feature... except the staff. For example, the operating manager comes out early each morning to pick the perfect fruit (from many options) for the guest breakfasts. The setting is fantastic, the options for fun and adventure numerous, and since there are only ten guest rooms, you won't feel crowded. Experience the way Tahiti was when it earned its fabulous reputation: tranquil, relaxing, and endearing. That's why I won't visit the island without a stay at the Punatea Village."
