“This hotel was excellent! The front desk helped us book a last minute hiking trip. Including information of how to do on our own if we decided to go the route alone. Upstairs has a cute rooftop bar overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains! It had great selection of breakfast options. Centered around the downtown historic district of Funchal, made sightseeing, shopping and plenty of restaurants to choose for dinner fantastic. Perk to our trip was the Festival of Flowers with cultural……

“We had a wonderful stay at Reid's Palace. The staff went above and beyond, the hotel is stunning and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. ”

“Rooms and hotel were clean and in a good location with plenty of places to eat nearby. The bathroom was a bit dated and only hand wash and body/hair shampoo available, no conditioner or hand cream that would normally come with a 4 star hotel. Free parking which most of the time we were able to get a spare (first come first serve) however we did have to use a local multistorey when full. Overall a nice hotel with 2 decent sizes pools with plenty of deck chairs again. Breakfast was ok with plenty……

“The hotel is located near the coast and near a majority of attractions in Funchal. Our stay here was nice and comfortable with no real highlights or lowlights to speak of, and that is a compliment, we admired the cozy painless experience. The outdoor pool was absolutely freezing with the outdoor temperature being 20 degrees, though that was more due to the breeze. The rooftop bar is quite nice and cozy to chill at after a day out in the city !”
