"Front desk staff was very helpful. There aren’t many restaurants or anything at this stop but a mile up the road there is more food. The building is a little rundown, but bed was comfortable and clean. I had to go downstairs to get batteries for the remote but otherwise a good stay for the price."

"We had trouble opening our room door due to how tight it was and the inside lock rubbed against the door. Staff was very helpful in ooening our door. There was some black soot looking stuff in the shower and on the floor I cleaned up myself. The hot breakfast included biscuits and gravy, eggs and waffles. The one staff struggled to keep that stocked and people had to wait and at one point warmed a bowl of gravy up to use for their plate. There was 2 types of cereal, yogurt and bananas. A few people came and looked and then left instead of getting any food. We were able to get eggs and biscuit and gravy 1 morning of our stay. The building and decor looked good and we didn't have any problems parking. The pool was warm and clean and was the best part of the property and I especially enjoyed that amenity. The property is a solid 4 and could be a 5 with improvement in cleaning and keeping breakfast hot and supplied."

"Awesome house in the heart of town. Great spot for me to set as my home base to explore all the areas of New River Gorge. Would for sure recommend. Walkable to local spots for coffee or lunch/dinner. Hosts instructions were very clear. 10/10"

"Property was clean and spacious, house located on a quiet street, nice swimming pool in the back yard but gate near the pool for access to the fire pit was stuck and would not open. Also no rock climbing wall as advertised. It was nice to see deer coming around in the back yard.Comfortable beds with bathroom for most bedrooms. Very nice to have instant hot water with a tankless water heater."
