"Breakfast was typical breakfast buffet food, except for the pancakes - staff member was making them fresh! Really appreciated that. Bed was fine, but thermostat in room was set at 80 degrees - took a LONG time to cool off during this heat wave. "
Magnolia Hotel St. Louis, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Visited to attend a game at Busch Stadium, see the arch and just to check St. Louis out. The hotel was nice, the staff were super friendly and I was very pleased with the stay."
"James Meyer in the dining area was very very, very helpful and very understanding of my health condition
Kay at the front desk was very helpful too
Only recommendation that I can see is maybe handicap bars in the bathroom area in a toilet toilet I’m not in a wheelchair, but some things would make it easier with my age and health"
"We enjoyed our stay. Clean, Ease in parking and check in/out. Gateway Arch Park and Busch Stadium are very close to the hotel. Many food option around the area. One thing I was hoping but probably did not check if there is an option for complimentary breakfast"
"Check-in Tetesa was wonderful. She was informative friendly and helpful. When we had a couple of issues she personally addressed them. The best of her ability. Gave us some helpful tips. The amenities are top shelf. The meals are awesome plentiful. The adults Enjoy the drinks and coffee
The bartender was wonderful too. Very close to the city museum and the zoo and the union station. Setting was very comfortable. Rooms quiet. Would stay here again and recommended for all ages. It does have a cool and hot tub and workout rooms."
"The good:
Staff was amazing
Bed was extremely comfortable
Very good design of hotel
Room was clean
The bad:
Gatorade bottle sat by level 2 elevator for 2 days spilt on floor with wet floor sign by it.
Hotel does need some updating.
Final thoughts:
The hotel was just put under new ownership and has a lot of potential, the design is great the restaurant when it reopens will be a great set up as well. Don’t want to bash it because they are trying and to clean things up do take time. I look forward to seeing it in another year or so to see how it has improved.

"We stay here often. It is central to our needs and we like the dining choices that are nearby. The facility is always neat and clean, the parking is convenient and the staff are always friendly, professional and ready to help. We find it to be a nice relaxing atmosphere and a great place to get a good nights rest."
"We always stay at the Cheshire on our cross-country road trips. It's perfect for families and it's pet friendly. We like that it's clean, has character ( the rooms are named after different authors), and has good food options. The breakfast is healthy with fresh fruit options. But most of all, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I left clothing behind on one of our trips recently and they went out of their way to look for it and mail it to me! A special thank you to Roxie!"
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham St Louis Route 66
10/10 Excellent
"We have a dog who does not socialize well with other dogs/people so having a room that was conveniently close to an exit was extremely important to us. "
"We have stayed here a few times over the last year for a night or weekend away for fun. Rooms are big & spacious and nice big walk in shower to enjoy. Always great service from the front deck staff during check in or when you need assistance. "
"Awesome and modern hotel in a fantastic area. Great staff. Clean facility. The only downfall is that you have to take a short walk to the parking lot. In the summer, no problem. Wintertime..."
"I wanted to call out some of the employees for special recognition, but there were too many! From the clerks making reservation changes, to the bar & grill staff, or the breakfast crew-- they were all just great. The hotel is beautiful in every respect. Swimming pool area is awesome. Parking, access, & location was wonderful! Great restaurants & shopping in the area also. This was our 1st stay, but it won't be the last! "
