Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort

Sigatoka, Korotogo - Map
The hotel is in a very good location. Facilities good. Very good food and excellent value with a variety of choices. There are some hidden extras in charges ie. internet access only half an hour free per day. Local eco tax on your bill and 3% charge on credit and DEBIT cards. Charged for transport to local town, you can catch the local bus. Charged to enter competitions. Otherwise I would recommend hotel.

"relaxing low stress holiday"
Beautiful lush hotel grounds, very relaxing and great service during our stay. The free wi-fi is only for 1 device per room, so expect to pay for premium wi-fi that works. They need more paddle boards, but the snorkeling & canoes were great. Good choice of food/ restaurants but a little pricey at FJD65 pp buffet Excellent Japanese restaurant and ECO cafe 5 min down the road highly recommended

"Simply the best"
Where to start... maybe by saying that arriving at Tokoriki is like coming home; it's full of friendly staff doing everything to make your stay a memorable and enjoyable one. Everyone's in a good mood, laughing and genuinely warm. The resort is boutique so cosy, and you are not just a guest, you are greeted by name every time and everywhere. The unlimited massage deal is a must, and if you can afford it, come via helicopter... My husband and I travel lots and have high standards.. this place is incredible and a must to stay at.

"Why we mostly stay at Fiji Gateway when in Nadi"
We have used the Gateway-previously Raffles Gateway -over many years on at least a dozen occasions. If waiting to catch a boat at Denarau Marina the next day, ditto if flying to an island or transferring down the coast towards Suva it is our preferred stopover point.Convenient, comfortable lovely swimming pool with water slide, friendly staff & free luggage hold facilities for a few days til we return. This time we were delighted to have a free upgrade to a huge room looking out to the pool.Although built in the 60's the hotel has been kept in good repair & is set in lovely gardens. We will be there 2 more times this trip.

"Beautiful view, Great restaurant, Run down rooms."
The ocean view and watching the sunset was amazing. Nice lounge area with restaurant - has excellent ambiance.Food was great, buffet breakfast was amazing. Meals were overpriced though. The first impression when we walked in was "wow" as the lobby, etc. is undoubtedly very nice , but you find out the truth when you walk into your room. Rooms were okay, bathroom was below standard and dirty, moldy and rusty. Couldn't use bathroom fan as it was pumping smelly odour inside. Our hot water system wasn't working properly either (one minute it was cold and the next boiling water pouring out). Had a few baby cockroaches crawling around the room and bathroom. The doors and windows are not screened therefore mosquitoes were very active. I must say that your staff were very kind, housekeeping staff in particular.

Fiji Resorts & Spa Travel Guide

If you're looking for a vacation in paradise, you should know that Fiji continually ranks among the world's most popular honeymoon and vacation spots, and for good reason. With powdery white sand beaches, a thriving island culture, and crystal clear water, Fiji will have you wishing you never had to leave. Paradise doesn't have to cost a fortune, though. With cheap flights to Fiji, you can start your vacation as quickly as it takes you to pack your bathing suit.

Fiji is comprised of 300 islands, but only a third of them are inhabited. The islands are best known for their over-the-water bungalows, which offer stunning views of the water and marine wildlife. Whether you're looking for a resort closer to the capital of Suva on Viti Levu or one that's more remote, can help you find the perfect resorts in Fiji.

    When to Visit

With temperatures that rarely move out of the 80s, Fiji boasts nearly perfect weather year-round. If you're visiting during the warm season, which takes place from November to April, expect temperatures that average in the mid- to upper-80s. This time of the year also sees a heavier rainfall, so expect to duck into your Fiji island resorts for a few minutes when the rain arrives. Thankfully, most showers are quick, so you'll be back on the beach in no time. If you're staying at a resort in the mountains, you're likely to see more rain than if you're vacationing on the coast.

The cooler season occurs from May to October and generally sees temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Throughout the year, a steady trade wind blows across the islands. It's more predominant in the mornings and usually dies down in the afternoons.

    What to Do in Fiji

Whether you choose to stay at Fiji all-inclusive resorts or at a traditional, a la carte property, you'll be spoiled for choices on how to spend your days. The breathtaking water is where many visitors can be found scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, or parasailing. Most resorts offer beach chairs and umbrellas if you'd prefer to spend your time relaxing oceanside. If you're looking for more water fun, try a hike to one of the island chain's many waterfalls; the Bouma National Heritage Park on Taveuni Island has several that are easy to access.

If you need a break from the sun and sand, there's still plenty to do. Find cheap deals on handmade souvenirs at an open-air market where you can meet the local artisans. Delve into the traditions of Fiji by drinking Kava or watching a fire-walking ceremony. Discover the heritage of the people of Fiji by visiting a Hindi temple. Indulge your adventurous side by taking a helicopter ride of the islands.

    Fiji Resort Amenities

No matter your style or taste, there's something for everyone in Fiji. For those travelers who want to live in the lap of luxury during their stay, many top resorts offer full spa services, beachside dining, and evening entertainment. Practice your swing during the day as some of the best hotels in Fiji have 18-hole courses on-site. Enjoy an over-the-water bungalow; some come with glass floors so that you can watch the colorful tropical fish without getting wet.

If you love surfing, there's a Fiji resort for you with private lessons and breaking waves just steps from your room. Other resorts offer privacy and tranquility with guest-only beaches and lagoons. Regardless of where you stay, the majority of hotels on Fiji come with on-property pools, daily housekeeping, and on-site dining. Whatever you envision for your vacation, can make your dream a reality.

    Island Geography

While the country includes several hundred islands, the two largest, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, house the majority of the population. Many of the islands have imposing mountains, some of which rise to 4,200 feet. Throughout the country, you'll find lush, tropical forests blanketing the land. Start exploring Fiji and its natural wonders by finding great deals from today.
