With a view of Woahink Lake this sanctuary in tall fir trees is the perfect setting for rest and relaxation. This gorgeous two story, 3 bedroom, 2 bath 2000 sq. ft. vacation home with a SPA on 1 acre of old growth forest. Detailed Description: Bring your boat or water craft and enjoy one of the finest lakes for fishing and play along the Florence Oregon Coast. Fish for Large and Smallmouth Bass and trout! A boat launce and swimming are available at Honeyman Park. Sit out on the deck and enjoy your morning coffee as the sun warms the waters and the lake comes to life. Wind down the day basking in the glows of fabulous sunsets of orange, pink and gold! For those who like to BBQ, a full size gas grill located on the spacious deck makes it easy to prepare your fresh caught meals or favorite steaks. Relax after a hard day’s play on the Florence Oregon Coast and sooth your soul in the full size Jacuzzi. Located just outside the house, the Jacuzzi offers the perfect vantage point to count the stars and watch for meteors under the open sky. The well-appointed full sized country kitchen has everything you’ll need to prepare your meals. The open floor plan allows for meals, family style or formal to be served for all your guests at the dining table and bar with a perfect view of the lake. The living room has seating for all to relax at the end of the day. Enjoy the latest movies on TV with a 50-inch HD wall mounted plasma TV. Charter Cable extended service and a DVR are provided (PAC 12 Channel Not Available!). For those who like to bring along their favorite movies on DVD or tape there is a Blue-Ray, DVD and VCR player for your convenience. The DVD player is connected to Wi-Fi for those who wish to use their Netflicks. For those who need to stay connected, Wifi is available throughout the house. A cozy den has a love seat and also provides a large oak desk with a printer and scanner for your use. Note: The Huckleberry House is not a lakefront property. It has a western view of the water. Garage is not available. The driveway has a sharp turn so trailers over 24 ft may have trouble making the turn. IMPORTANT: The shared dock is not on the Huckleberry property and is located a short stroll down the hill from the Huckleberry House. The dock is to be used only for docking boats and launching canoes or kayaks. No swimming from the dock or partying at the dock is allowed. Please be considerate of the neighbors. The boat launching ramp and sandy beach, with a swimming area, are located at Honeyman Lake Park across the lake from Huckleberry House. The Florence Area: The Huckleberry House is located 5 minutes south of Florence on the quiet eastern hillside of Woahink Lake. Bring your kayaks and canoes and paddle through quiet estuaries along the north shores Woahink Lake is one of over 27 lakes in the Florence area known for trophy fish. Bring your quads and sand toys and have a fantastic time at the sand dunes just 4 minutes’ drive from the Huckleberry House. Visit Old Town Florence and explore the wonderful bistros, restaurants, galleries, and shops along Bay Street. Just ten minutes north along the coast you’ll find fun in the sun and surf at the fabulous Heceta Beach and of course don’t forget to visit the world famous and most photographed Heceta Head Lighthouse as well as the Sea Lion Caves! The Huckleberry House is located just a short drive from two world class golf courses, the Ocean Dunes and the Sandpines Golf Courses! Bring your fishing gear and go Salmon Fishing on the Siuslaw River! At low tide bring your boots, shovel and buckets and hunt for razor clams. Hot tub was very much enjoyed by all 3 generations, as was the view that overlooked the lake. Debra went above and beyond when our 17 year old granddaughter thought she ordered something to be delivered directly to Huckleberry House, but was delivered to Debra's USPO box. Debra very kindly retrieved the item and hand delivered it to our very grateful granddaughter. I recommend staying here. Some things that stand out in particular: the kitchen was really well equipped with pots, pans, dishes, spices, and every little thing you might want. Everything was set up to be really easy to find/use/figure out (e.g. hot tub, tv, lights). The view of the lake was lovely and the deck was an excellent place to spend time. The Huckleberry House is a true gem. Tucked back in the woods with amazing views of Woahink Lake, this house had absolutely everything that we needed. I have stayed in many rental homes and have never had a more well stocked kitchen. It was also one of the cleanest homes. We were so pleased with this home, that we would truly like to return for another visit. Unfortunately, it looks like the secret is out, as it appears to be booked up until 2024! The description of the property was spot on. The house was really well stocked. It could use updated furniture, but it was very clean. The location and view from the house is just perfect. Definitely recommend if you are looking for that cabin by the lake kind of house. You have to be pretty skilled to get a long trailer and truck around the driveway though, it's a pretty tight turn. It was cute, clean, spacious, and easy to access. We love the hot tub, open kitchen and the beautiful views! Downstairs is a bit musty but they have dehumidifiers to assist with that. Felt like we were in a treehouse. We had a wonderful time and were very comfortable. The kitchen in well stocked with dishes and whatever you might need for cooking. The house was great and had everything we needed. Great location and a beautiful view, with a wonderful deck to take in the view.
