Rooms old fashioned and worn, plug sockets poor. Bathroom basic. Window didn’t open. The room was warm! Breakfast was good.

Extremely friendly service. There is not an elevator so they will carry your luggage to your room and back down. There are no strangers at Balmoral Arms, you're treated as a very good friend. Main sitting room with a piano that even though it's out of tune --- they've tried to have it repaired several times --- people still gather and enjoy the sitting room. Would have liked to have seen a fire in the fireplace, but understand it's summertime. Breakfast & dinners were very good, and so far, the best sticky toffee pudding I've tasted when compared to other locations in Scotland.

The room was nice with a great shower and bed. WIFI was strong and the evening meal was good quality.

Staff couldn't be faulted. Room clean and as described. Breakfast was great, staff at breakfast were lovely. Pool was a great extra and again the staff there were helpful and thoughtful. Location was handy for us. Overall this is a great hotel especially for what we paid the value back is excellent. The only aspect I didn't mark fully was amenities just as parking was tricky, don't get me wrong there are plenty of spaces its just busy.... thats not a bad thing, some parts of the car park could do with a wee resurface .
