I wish somone had written about the difficulty in getting to the property, so I'm doing my due diligence for the others.Too many steps, much more than 200 either way. Not recommended for older folks or people with young children or more luggage. I absolutely would hire a porter, which...

"This was one of the best hotel experiences of my life. The hotel had a stunning view of the Mediterranean and the hotel owners were the nicest people we ever met. There also is no need to carry up heavy suitcases up a lot of steps (like other hotels in Positano) because the hotel is right off the street. The best positano experience ever and we certainly will go out of our way to stay here in the future."
