Fort Chadbourne Tours

Booked a 2-night stay for my wife and daughter expecting this to be a great hotel, we stayed here many years back and remember it being nice. However, this time was completely opposite...the front doors were NOT operable, so they had to use the side entrance, the staff did not clean the side door entrance and it was absolutely filthy when you walked in. The Pool was closed because they were draining it (its summer time still, should have waited until winter). My wife was told that they could still use the hot tub, so she went and purchased a bathing suit to relax in the hot tub and when she got back and went to the hot tub a maintenance worker told her that it was shut down. The entire building did not have air conditioning other than in the room. While in the bath (because the hot tub was not opened) my wife notice a condom stuck between the toilet bowl and the tank, she was utterly disgusted and exited the tub immediately. This was a VERY bad experience for my wife and daughter. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

When visiting family - I always stay at AmericInn Wydham, close to everyone and everything I need during my stay. Staff is always friendly, helpful to address any needs promptly. Early 6 am Hot breakfast with many selections - free, great coffee ( I am picky :)) , fitness room and pool. Free parking and safe surroundings. vinyl wood- like flooring with berber carpet around beds makes for a cleaner room. Comfortable beds and arctic AC for hot Texas summers. thankful they have water softner , The bathtub is very slick porclean and I put a bath towel down to get wet first before stepping in to avoid slipping. I highly recommend the hotel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small but comfortable. The full-size fridge was a nice surprise. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good with a very nice lady taking care of the trash and keeping the food stocked.
