"I recently stayed at The River Lee in Cork while travelling for work, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful, which made my stay really enjoyable. A special mention to the gentleman from the restaurant (I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name!) - your service was excellent. You were attentive, professional, and made the dining experience feel personal and welcoming. It’s rare to receive that level of genuine hospitality, and it really stood out. The reception team were equally fantastic. I arrived early, around 9 a.m., after travelling for work, and one of the receptionists went above and beyond to get me into my room as soon as possible. While waiting, she kindly suggested using The Hub in the hotel so I could work comfortably until the room was ready - such a thoughtful touch that made a big difference to my day. Overall, this hotel offers a great mix of comfort, professionalism, and warmth. The service from both reception and restaurant staff was outstanding, and I’ll definitely stay again when I’m next in Cork."

"The layout of the hotel is very weird. We had dinner there and whilst the steak was good everything else wasn’t. I sent the chunky chips back as they were cold and they looked reheated. The replacement chips were hot but they were also reheats. Everything was frozen and not worth the prices charged. The room was lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable. All in all I felt it was definitely not worth the price I was charged"
