When we first arrived, I left my husband in the cab while I went inside to check the apartment. The apartment itself was dark but clean and comfortable.
However, when I went back outside to get my husband, I became locked inside the reception area for approximately 10 minutes. There was no doorman, buzzer, or other way to contact someone for assistance, and I had no way to exit through the main entrance. This created a serious safety risk because I was trapped in an unsecured area with no reliable means of escape or communication.
I eventually found a dark back door and used it to exit through what appeared to be an abandoned garage. This was also dangerous because the area was poorly lit, unfamiliar, and did not appear to be intended for guest access. In an emergency, being unable to exit safely through the main entrance could leave guests trapped or force them to use an unsafe route. The building’s access and emergency-exit arrangements should be addressed immediately.
