“The kitchen was full equipped, room was clean and ample, and property itself was charming and in right inside the Old City, easy access to all major tourist points. Well maintained property, would absolutely stay here again. The owner Jon was easy to work with and incredibly attentive and responsive. (Only thing to note for travelers is that since this unique property is within the Old City, several stairs are involved in order to access).”

“Our apartment was perfect: very clean inside, two bathrooms, everything worked perfect, beds very comfortable, inside the ancient walls and easy to get to everything. “Perfect location in the Old City. The property management team was friendly, professional and communicative - and we particularly appreciated all of that with our very short-notice booking. The room was relatively large and very comfortable. There's a little noise in the street below that ends a little late and starts a little early but that can't really be helped and the supplied nightstand ear plugs were a nice offering as was the white noise of the air conditioner. "We booked a room with balcony and stayed for 2-night. The room has a very comfy design and is maintained in good condition. Everyday they arrange room clean-up. The Scalini Palace is located in an excellent location, very close to the Main Street, taking us just a few steps to Stradun. It’s esp convenient if you want to take nice photos of old town in very early morning. No lift, same as many other hotels/apartments in the old town, so you have to walk upstairs to the floor you stay. Staffs are very nice. They allow us to drop luggages in reception before check-in time, and helped us moving the luggages upstairs to our room. Breakfast is quite nice, freshly prepared. Love the coffee they prepared! The balcony is a tiny one, but it has quite a nice view. "

"On the first night of my stay, the showerhead broke halfway through my shower, and the water temperature was hard to control. I ended up finishing the shower in a very awkward and uncomfortable way. Later, when I was about to go to sleep, I found that the air conditioner remote had no batteries, so I had to go the whole night without any air conditioning. When I told the hostess, she assumed I was the one who broke it. Upon checkout, she asked me for €20 for the city tax, even though I had already given it to her husband on the first day. Her response was, “Oh! Maybe I forgot!”"
