Come stay in the our Charming Rustic Cabin. This cabin is tucked away in the mountains with an elevation of 2700 feet. On the large deck you will a get a great view of the mountains and surrounding valley on two acres. You get a little piece of heaven when you are up here. The cabin was built in the 1970's and still has that rustic, primitive feel to it. The walls are made with logs that still have the bark attached to them, taking you back to a simpler place and time. The inside has been updated with new modern amenities; flooring, stainless steel appliances, kitchen cabinets with quartz counter tops, new bathrooms, mattresses with linens, farmhouse table, and much more. There is also a new washer and dryer in the basement. The decor has a rustic, industrial feel. The cabin has three private bedrooms on the main floor, two with queen beds, one with king bed, and one full bathroom with a vanity, tub, and shower. With sleeping accommodations up to 10 guests. Upstairs in the loft there are three more beds, two twins and one queen for extra guests. Also upstairs for your entertainment there is a 60" HDTV with Roku TV plus Hulu and different board games for the challenge ones. Heading down the spiral staircase to the finished basement there will be another full bathroom . There you will find the game room with Ping Pong table, Foosball table, Sony PS 3, and another 60" HDTV. Throughtout the cabin is also , \*\* New Starlink high speed unlimited internet. Gather around the dining room for your family dinners. The farmhouse table has an extension that can seat up to ten people. With 2400 sq ft. open floor plan, it's easy to spend quality time with the family. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook up a delicious country dinner, or maybe dinner on the outside gas grill. Enjoy a glass of wine snuggled by the wood burning stone fireplace. Maybe you would prefer sitting back on the rocking chairs or relax on the swing while enjoying a cup of coffee on a spacious deck with mountain views. You might even see a deer or two! There's even plenty of more room on the picnic bench to enjoy dessert. On the outside you can gather around an oasis of a fire pit with string lighting, making for a relaxing ambience to forget all your troubles. There's also a Hammock for two to enjoy for a quick nap or catch up on some reading. Come be our guest and enjoy this piece of heaven ! A short drive to Downton Franklin will bring you to shops and restaurants located right on Main Street. Just down from our mountain within walking distance, during season , is Ruby Mine, which you can pan for rubies, emeralds, and sapphires. Entertainment for the whole family just minutes away. The property itself was well kept and beautiful. We enjoyed our early morning coffee on the porch each day, watching the clouds lift out of the valley below. The cabin was very peaceful and private, just like we prefer. There was plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and have their own space. The kitchen had all the cookware and dishes you could possibly need to make your meals. The cabin was a great place to relax and spend quality time with family. Everyone was sad to leave at the end of our stay. The only "downside" to the property is that it is quite an adventure to get up the mountain to the cabin. Four-wheel drive would be highly recommended. That being said, all in our party had two-wheel drive SUVs and with some skilled driving, eventually made it up safely. By the end of our stay, we felt confident in how to maneuver up the mountain (i.e. no one got out and walked). If you have a light car with low clearance, you may be in for a hike. Angelo did mention that there are plans in the works to revamp the road in the challenging section. All in all, we loved the cabin, the location and it being nestled into a nature of a slower time! We would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for serenity and the quiet peace of the mountains, with the caveat that they have an appropriate vehicle and some back country road driving experience. The cabin was beautiful and very clean. The view from the porch was amazing and we spent most of our time outside talking, while our kids played on the porch or with all the fun amenities in the yard. The host was very communicative and easy to get a hold of with some pre-trip questions. A metal sign on the mantel of the fireplace says, "Home Sweet Home." That's a very good description of the Rustic Cabin. While the weather outside became cold, rainy and windy, my husband and I enjoyed reading by the fireplace. The teens, meanwhile, never grew bored as they played in the loft and game room. My two teens had fun inside and out. My wife relaxed and I went gem mining just down the mountain. Great restaurants in Franklin, and very quiet place to rest and relax. We’ve rented many vacation homes over many years and this one exceeded them all! The owners thought of everything!! Their attention to detail was amazing! We were hoping for a Christmas tree but got decor in every room! The decorator of this home created a warm, cozy inviting atmosphere! The porch was our favorite with a breath taking view! Beds were more comfortable than our beds at home which made it hard to leave. Kitchen was fully stocked! The gravel was was only drawback and with 4w drive was no problem at all even in rain. There was plenty to do in the area that kept us busy each day, on the last day we hit the gem mine at the foot of the mountain and it was absolutely a gem! Highly recommend if you stay here. The Cabin fit four adults and four kids comfortably. My kids had a blast on the property.
