Enjoy Amazing Smoky Mountain View in Large, Comfortable Home in Treetops!

Morning, noon or night you will enjoy the phenomenal view from the multi-tiered decks of this beautiful mountain retreat. Sitting on the upper deck gives the feeling of being in an treehouse. Our 2500 square foot house features both open and covered decks for outdoor fun. There are dining tables, porch chairs and a gas grill.

We are located in a mountainside, gated community with streams, a waterfall, a duck pond and a picnic area. The house is set on a quiet road with a concrete drive for easy access. You can enjoy taking long walks or bicycle rides right inside the gates of the community.

There is a warm cozy feeling in the large living/dining room area with its stone, wood-burning fireplace, cedar paneling and vaulted ceilings; you can see the mountains easily through the sliding glass doors. Our kitchen has everything you need - just bring the groceries. The downstairs family room has a wood stove, 2 sofas and a table for playing cards or games.

The upstairs features a large king-size master suite, with a private bath and doors that open onto the upper decks, as well as a queen bedroom and one with two twin beds. These two bedrooms share an additional bathroom upstairs. Downstairs has a queen size bedroom and an adjoining bathroom with a full washer & dryer. Additional sleeping is available in a queen sleeper sofa and a day bed with a trundle downstairs.

There are so many things to do in the area - hiking, biking, golf, parks, fishing, wildlife, horseback riding, shopping, restaurants, sightseeing, white-water rafting, gem mining, antique shopping, scenic drives, gambling just to name a few.

Nestled in North Carolina's southern mountains, Franklin is large enough to offer most everything you need, yet still have the peace and tranquility of the mountains. Spectacular waterfalls, fantastic hiking trails, pristine fishing streams and abundant wildlife are just a few of the many things available in this area. Each year Franklin offers numerous festivals and special events including Pickin' on the Square which features live music each Saturday night June through October.

Gorgeous and relaxing

Property was awesome and owner was great to work with. We fed and watched a pair of hummingbirds daily, took walks throughout the private and gated subdivision, played with a neighbors dog that came to visit, and just rested and relaxed . Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Very nice location for our large family and extended family!

Great Property!

Awesome Gorgeous View

A ver special place to stay

What a wonderful place to stay and we were here for two months. Felt that we were living in a tree house in the forest with wonderful mountain views. We did a lot of walking around the mountain and if you enjoy walking or running on hills this is the place. Karla the owner was wonderful to work with.

Perfect Family Vacation Home

What a perfect place for our moutain getaway! It was just as beautiful as the pictures and so much room for a family of 6, plus our furry friend. It was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Location was great, close enough (about 30 minutes) to all the waterfalls/mountain views on our list, but far enough away from town that it was so peaceful and the view from the porch is just incredible. Favorite spots this weekend include the Wayah Bald Lookout Tower, Dry Falls, and Glenn Falls. Would definately recommend this home!!

Wedding week

Came to NC for my daughters wedding. The cabin was perfect for members of my family and me. We had great views and great. Osita. The neighborhood drive is pretty scary when coming in at night for the first time but I made it and it was easy after that. I would stay again

The only reason I am not giving five starts is because some of the amenities we're not available, due to no fault of the owner. A previous renter ruined the gas grill and the washing machine did not work. The house it's self was very nice, the view was good, the weather was terrific. If I ever take another trip to the mountains, I would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful stay!

Beautiful house with gorgeous views! You could not ask for more if you want to get away from it all. The views are amazing, as are the sunsets. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the perfect place to stay. Plenty of room for a large family or group of friends . The owner was great and very responsive. We didn't get to do much, but that wasn't what we were looking for. This was a much needed vacation for me, as well as my daughter who needed some down time from college. The house is secluded but close to shopping. Highly recommended! If you are hesitant to book, don't be! You won't be disappointed!

Plenty of room for the 12 of us, the view from the top deck is amazing best spot to drink your morning coffee. had everything you would need in the kitchen for cooking meals. The only thing I whish we had was a vacuum with 6 kids and a rug under the table had to sweep it to get crumbs off it. There was a musty smell in the lower level but a candle burning helped. Over all I would definitely recommend staying here. Oh and make sure you get there in the day lite for your first time driving up the drive to the cabin.

Great view!

I stayed with my friends and family mid. November, even though all the trees had lost their leaves the views from the porch were stunning. The house was very clean and had everything we needed and plenty of space. Yes, the driveway is steep but, after doing it once it’s not a problem. I personally wouldn’t attempt it in a car though. We had 2 small SUVs and just used the low gear. Linda was very fast responding to our questions. We hope to come back when it’s warmer.

Great family vacay!

This property was perfect for our large family's needs during our week vacation. There was enough room and sleeping arrangements for everyone. The property being pet friendly was a plus too. We love having our furry family members getting to be with us. The only issue we experienced during our stay was the ice maker in the fridge did not produce a lot of ice but this was easily remedied by purchasing a couple bags of ice. We enjoyed the large fire place in the living room and loved the deck areas on the second and ground floor. The view is amazing and the upper deck is the area we used most during our stay. The kitchen was well stocked so we could make a large breakfast to fuel us on our days out exploring and also for our family dinners. The location of the property is great for exploring the surrounding area of Bryson City, Cherokee and Waynesville. We hope to return in the future!

Beautiful place nice and peaceful. The view was amazing..

The house was nice prefect size for us.. We were really busy so didn't get to spend a lot of time there.. But tried to make it back before it got dark. Because the road to the house is a little scary.. My grandson who is 13 didn't care for the ride up to the house when it was dark and raining..The downstairs was to musty. So we didn't use the downstairs.. But overall it was nice.. Karla the host was very nice and responded back very quickly when we asked to extended our stay. Very nice to deal with her.. Thank you!!

Time to Remember

What a beautiful cabin! That is the best way I can start. Our family have been going on our winter vacation for many years and this is one of the best cabin so far. The first thing we felt was security. The gated community to the cabin is perfect. The drive to the cabin is very manageable. Once there you will noticed a picture of perfection. The view is breath breaking. Once we managed to peel our self from the view, we noticed a gorgeous cabin. This cabin is well taken care of. Inside was very clean! There's plenty room for a big family. The upstairs living room was the best part for our family. We did all our entertaining there... we played games, watched movies and even made gingerbread houses!! The fireplace was a perfect place for us Floridians especially for those 0 degree days!!! So many memories were made there. The cabin felt just like home. So perfect. We were impressed with all the things available in this cabin.. there was everything you need to make your vacation perfect. Every time someone was looking for something.. we find it! That made life so much easier. What can I say about Karla and her husband! They were so wonderful. They were always available for anything. It was a pleasure speaking with them and we wish them only the best for the upcoming years. Our family would like to say THANK YOU!! to Karla and her husband for opening their home to us. We will be back!

Wonderful home

The house was spacious, clean, and the most well stocked home we've ever stated in. The owner was very responsive and accommodating to our needs. The view from the porch was beautiful. We all had a great time and enjoyed our trip so much this summer.
