Unfortunately, it's apparent that Webb's Resort needs some significant help. We selected this place due to its promixity to Chautauqua Institute -- but that was really the only thing going for it, beyond the staff. Things are deteriorating. The hallway from the main lobby to the rooms was filthy and obviously hadn't been washed in a long time. The continental breakfast was pretty much non-existent -- only 1 lonely banana and a few apples. Cereal and milk, no yogurt, no pastries -- just packaged mini-muffins and old/stale nutribars. Dining area tables were sticky, as was the floor. Pool looked horrible. Going up to the 2nd floor, stairs smelled like smoke. There was a large fan running in the hallway that obviously hadn't been cleaned in many years --absolutely filthy. Our room was ok but bathroom fixtures were rusted. In the lobby, there was a cage of parakeets (about 4) that looked like it hadn't been cleaned out in a long time -- lobby smelled like literally dirty birds. Finally, sitting out in the parking lot in the morning, I could see a handwritten sign on the 2nd floor balcony. I took a camera shot and maximized it to read what was written -- it said "Please do not lean on railings...fall or injury may occur...We are not responsible for injuries! Thank you." Can't believe Webb's lawyers or insurance company would think this was sufficient.
Obviously was a great place at one point, considering other Google and Expedia reviews -- however, I can't recommend this place.
