I booked this reservation 3 weeks prior to us arriving, we came early around 1 & check in is 3 but the hotel was oversold by 7 rooms , & there was no room for us a first , I was giving a key to a room that they thought somebody had not checked in and I ended up walking in someone's room with their stuff in there so I had to go back downstairs, the girl at the desk ended up giving us a room the hotel doesn't use because the fireplace is not working in it. It was a decent room. It had a nice private balcony. There was a hot tub Jacuzzi in there too as well and Our stay was fine , the room was clean , bed was comfortable shower was good, But my in-laws room not so much. Their bathroom was not clean _ the shower was pretty gross, You could tell it wasn't cleaned, but feel bad for the girl that works there & clearly does everything herself with no help. I also spoke with multiple guests while we were waiting for our breakfast to be put out & they had major issues with their rooms , toilets overflowing, no heat etc, quite a few guests said they would never stay again. The girl at the hotel was very helpful in accommodating us and we were grateful for it. We were up there for the Mayville Winter Festival. I would stay there again but I will say this whoever owns this hotel. You seriously need to do some upgrades and get the girl at the front desk Some more help if you're going to accommodate people and offer a hotel for people to stay. That's why I gave it a rating as a 3 Star.
