8.8/10 Excellent! (1,085 reviews)
Everything was great at this hotel, except one major issue: there was no functioning internet. In theory, the hotel offers Wi-Fi, but in reality, it simply didn’t work.
We were originally placed on the 9th floor, and when we reported the issue, hotel management moved us to the 8th floor where their internet vendor claimed a router was located. Unfortunately, that didn’t help, there was still no internet access on that floor either.
Aside from that, everything else was excellent. The location is perfect - very close to Universal Studios and many restaurants. The hotel looks newly renovated, it’s clean, and the pool water was warm and pleasant.
However, the restaurant on-site only operates until 3 p.m., which isn’t very convenient.
We rented a two-bedroom condo that had large smart TVs in both bedrooms and the living room, but oddly, the TVs didn’t function as smart TVs. When we asked about it, hotel staff explained that the hotel doesn’t have the proper license for smart TV features.
If reliable internet is important to you, keep this in mind. Otherwise, it’s a solid place to stay.
