Agrivilla Montelucci (from the Latin “Mons Luci”, sacred forest for the ancient Romans) is a wonderful stone farmhouse, built in 1700 and recently renovated. The Villa is located within an 8-hectare estate in a beautiful setting of woods, vineyards and meadows just 7 km from the center of Gaiole in Chianti. Agrivilla Montelucci stands on a hilltop 700 meters above sea level, in a panoramic position over the Chianti Classico hills and the magical surrounding Tuscan countryside. The property, a hamlet of the nearby Borgo di Montegrossi, was once the closest farm (overall extension of 46 hectares with vineyards, olive groves and pastures), where bread was prepared for the whole village in the ancient wood-fired oven located in the adjacent courtyard at the Villa. The possibility of visiting historic castles, authentic architectural treasures that dominate the surrounding hills, further enriches the cultural experience. The proximity to the Tuscan cities of art is another strong point of this agrivilla. Siena, with its suggestive Piazza del Campo and magnificent Cathedral, can be reached in a short time. Florence, cradle of the Renaissance, is just an hour’s drive away, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the timeless works of art and history that the city holds. Upon returning from a day of visiting places, guests can relax in the agri-villa’s panoramic swimming pool, admiring the sunset over the Chianti hills. A few steps from the Villa’s patio, there is the swimming pool area. The absolute strong point of the swimming pool is the dominant and panoramic position of the land, from where the gaze is lost towards infinity. The wonderful panoramic view from the swimming pool allows you to see in a short distance, on one side, the nearby Borgo di Montegrossi with the Montegrossoli Castle, on the other side the ancient Coltibuono Abbey (BADIA A COLTIBUONO) and a glimpse of the Valdarno valley. On the other side of the land surrounding the swimming pool, the gaze extends to see the city of Siena and Monte Amiata in the distance but clearly recognisable, up to the Crete Senesi. Upon returning from a day of exploration and visits, guests can relax in the panoramic swimming pool, admiring the sunset in the evening which is tinged with shades from pink to red, towards the Chianti hills. In this context, the private swimming pool for the exclusive use of our guests offers moments of relax in absolute privacy and restful environment. The villa, measuring 500 square meters in total (of which 300 square meters are available to our guests) is structured on 2 floors and offers large internal spaces where you can spend your holidays and moments of relax. The Villa is rented at 2 different price rates: the 1-10 guest occupancy and the 11-14 guest occupancy; in the 1-10 guests price rate, guests will have access to 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, instead in the 11-14 guests price rate, guests will have access to 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms Traditional materials such as terracotta floors, pietra serena, chestnut wood beams and terracotta ceilings give the entire internal environment that typical Tuscan flavour. On the ground floor there are 2 double bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, separated by an entrance from the large living area with a large kitchen equipped with all electrical appliances and utensils. A large dining room dominates the living area, with entrance to the external garden through a patio, a porch attached to the house through which there is direct access to the front garden. All bathrooms are equipped with large windows and large showers. The rooms are all very spacious and also equipped with large windows. The villa is equipped with air conditioning in all rooms and equipped with every comfort including mosquito nets in all windows, large screen Smart TV with satellite connection, Netflix, games for children and board games for rainy days, small and large electrical appliances, free high-speed WI-Fi connection. Our rooms are characterized by traditional Tuscan terracotta, exposed beams and typical Tuscan rustic furnishings, offering large lounges and breathtaking views from every window of the villa.
