There were several roaches in and around our hotel room. We opted to leave around 11:15 PM, after checking in at 6 PM, considering the roaches. We went to let the front desk know and they had both of the entrances to the lobby blocked off. We had to drive an hour home. So I figured I’d call first thing in the morning to let them know, before “check out” time. I had to call 2 times, over several hours, to try to get to a manager. Then, I get a call back from the “manager” who was a woman, even though the ladies I had spoken with before said their GM was a man. So I’m not sure what kind of manager she is. I told her we left because of the several roaches and drove all the way home in the middle of the night. She said “How do I know that’s actually the case.” and I replied with “I have pictures and videos of the roaches.” She suggested that we should have called them at FIVE IN THE MORNING to let them know. I truly was only calling to let them know we had left, and to make sure we didn’t get charged for a second night. I wasn’t as adamant on a refund as my husband was. The lady told me she would get with the “Head Man” and see what they can do on a refund. She called back an hour or so later to tell me they could only refund $20 of $118. We did not spend the night there, left because of an apparent roach infestation problem, and was given the run around on every phone call. I definitely think we should have been refunded at least half. I still have not spoken to the “Head Man”.
