“A hidden gem tucked beneath the hillside — and absolutely worth the trek down. Getting to the unit requires navigating uneven gravel steps cut into the hillside (no railing), so it's worth knowing ahead of time if mobility is a concern. The grounds were run down and when we tried to contact her there was no wifi or cell coverage at that remote location. Because of poor communication and the run down appearance of the place we decided to stay elsewhere.”

“Great place for our stay on the island! Bedrooms were very comfortable. Whole place is quite clean with all the amenities. Communication with the host was easy and quick. Check in and out was seamless. Great cafe and restaurant a quick drive away. Secluded and private cul de sac you will need vehicle to drive out to places which we had. Close to ferry and town of Sidney. Easy to get to Victoria on the main highway about 25 minutes. Would stay here again! Thank you!”

Special problem for us: we three 80-year-olds found the steps and sloping alley a disadvantage, especially for the one carrying the luggage (just fine for people half our age). One caution : one room has a queen-size mattress on a double bed frame, so support is iffy.”
