“Impressive building with lovely grounds; however unfortunately our room did not live up to the same standard with wine bottles & beer cans left at the door on entry, along with the odour from the previous guests takeaway. Thankfully the staff were able to accommodate a different room for our stay, but it is worth noting the rooms both shared a rather tired appearance and we left a little deflated bearing in mind the room rate.”

“The owner was extremely helpful and responsive and the location was perfect. The walled garden was perfect for family to gather on warm days. However, although it’s advertised as sleeping 16, it doesn’t have the living space for 16, either to eat or gather. Other staff at the property were very accommodating and we loved the sustainable aspect of everything in the house. ”

“Location good - easy 10 minute flat walk to city centre. Lots of stairs - top bedroom up two flights - hard with luggage. Spacious for a group. We had a couple of issues not able to be addressed during our short stay which made our visit disappointing.”
