Gatineau Park Vacations from $552

This was our second stay here. After a one night stay on a road trip we knew we wanted to return. We booked 3 nights to enjoy a longer visit to Kingston downtown. Perfect location to walk to many many restaurants. Our room was very spacious, clean and modern. Comfortable bed. Easy access to parking garage.

We booked a room with 2 double beds, when we got to our room, there was one double bed and one twin. When I called the front desk to let them know of the error, the agent asked me "how do you know it's a twin bed?" instead of either taking my word for it or looking at their own system to confirm that the room we were assigned was in fact a room with a twin bed. Once I told them that I can see the bed is physically smaller than the one next to it, plus it only has one pillow, the agent told me in a frustrated tone that if I went back downstairs, she would see if there was anything else available. Luckily by the time I got downstairs I was able to talk to a much more pleasant front desk agent. Our room ended up being just okay, we've stayed in worse, but it wasn't worth the money. The breakfast is also advertised as having a buffet option, but we arrived to discover that they had taken that away months ago, but hadn't updated their website. The breakfast was a bunch of frozen food we could've purchased at a grocery store. At lease the waitstaff was nice!

The room was clean but a bit dated. The kitchen cupboard doors definitely need some love. The doors stick really badly. The worst part however has to be the bathroom. While it was clean …at least what I could actually see… there’s only one light over the sink so when you shower it’s completely dark. This seems like safety issue.

It’s a lovely hotel and great staff but its lustre is lost to time. The towels, robes, and furniture are old and a bit tattered. The shower had mold in it and the place was kind of dark.
