"Besides it is hard to find the reception, everything is great. Service is excellent. The room is clean and the bed is very comfortable. I like there is a jacuzzi inside the room. I picked this hotel because it locates very close to the outlet. If you are not driving, it may not be the ideal location for you. "

"Clean and comfortable, close to the subway station with easy access to Tenjin and Hakata. Check-in by video call was a little complicated but great value for money."

"This place was pretty nice. I used one of big rooms with many beds. It was bit cold and had to pay for the parking, but the parking lot was right behind of the hotel. There is a very good donkatsu restaurant next to the hotel. "

"Good value overall, and the room was very spacious. The staff was great. The property is a bit dated, but it's no big deal. I like the retro style. FYI the pool is an additional fee per person. "

"This is a great place for a budget stay! The standard bedroom felt a little tiny even as a solo traveler, so I would recommend going for the double if you are traveling as a duo or feel you need more space.
The Japanese breakfast is very much what it says on the card—if you're a foreigner and can't read hiragana/katakana, you might not recognize much beyond eggs/rice/pastries.
The front desk staff were very receptive and kind! All in all I very much enjoyed my stay, especially with Tojinmachi...

"Having visited in the 4th week of April 2025, it was a vibrant spring floral experience at the Island Park Garden. The villa is on a hill and from the balcony it is over-looking the pine trees and the bay. We loved the peaceful and idyllic atmosphere. The Japanese dinner and breakfast was delicious and the friendly and courteous staff-they were able to converse in simple English made our stay memorable. "

"This is my 7th time staying at this property. It’s the best for convenience, shopping and dining options. The staff is friendly and on top of it. I’ll always stay here when visiting Fukuoka. "

"Lovely resort hotel . Our room was enormous, the pool was relaxing and breakfast was amazing - so much choice and all really fresh . It’s a bit out of the city but there are local buses and train on the doorstep and a free shuttle bus too. We came to see Fukuoka and have a rest from Tokyo . The hotel was great for both. Only downside for us was no vegetarian option at Dinner so we ate in Fukuoka . "

"I was traveling alone and felt very safe in this hotel. Everything I needed was right outside the hotel but very quiet. Staff was great. Could leave my luggage after checkout. "
"Extremely conveniently located above Akasaka Station.
Multiple food options and also a 24hr supermarket in the vicinity.
Clean room with plenty of amenities.
Definitely recommend "
"Excellent hotel for family travelers. The staff are very helpful, and the location is perfect for accessing various areas in Fukuoka. The room is spacious and super clean."
"Great location and staff are always friendly. Good there is a working space if you need to get some work done. Location is great as the main street in tenjin is just one block away. "
"Amazingn place with great facilities and value for money, much better than staying in the centre. Yes it’s far from the station, but take a stroll down to the station in the morning (it’s very pleasant and easy as you are walking down) and then a taxi from the station to the hotel in the evening (if you are tired) as it’s cheap to do that. Would certainly stay there again. The view is really worth it. "
"Property and rooms were beautifully decorated.
Bathroom for the twin was large and modern
Bed was comfortable
Amenities were excellent
Right in the middle of Hakata downtown. Busy with access to food within minutes
Room service per request"

"Check-in wasn't great - supposed to be a self-check-in via tablet, but there was an error code we couldn't get past. We couldn't call for help due to our international phones. After about 30 minutes we finally got help via email and were able to get into our room.
The room itself was okay, although some damaged items were present and it wasn't particularly clean. No cutlery/silverware at all, not even chopsticks. Just a single butter knife.
Lots of clean bedding provided though, and it was more spacious than expected."
"This hotel boasts a prime location near transportation, attractions and eateries. The rooms are a good size, and you'll find free coffee in the lobby and complimentary amenities if you forget something.
"
"Check in staff were so amazing. When ordering a cab, they would come out and make sure the driver knew where we were going. Only unfortunate thing is the area is undergoing demolition of the neighboring mall. Not much around the property. But still a nice view"
"Cheap and convenient property for stays in Fukuoka. Easy access to the subway and very handy for sightseeing Ohori Park and local museums. The place was clean with shower facilities, toilets, eating space, and a free washing machine and dryer."
"i absolutely loved my time at UNPLAN!! the staff were all very friendly and kind, and they had several free-accommodation staff that were awesome as well. became fast friends with one of them and it made the entire experience even more enjoyable.
the bunks are very high quality and the mattresses, pillows, and blankets were more comfortable than other hostels i’ve stayed at. each bunk had ample space for storage as well as a lock box and hangers. the bathroom facilities, kitchen/lounge, and laundry areas were also very well maintained. they have happy hour and movie nights during the week, and the coffee shop in the lobby had the best caramel latte i’ve had in japan so far.
the location is very walkable, literally right across the street from Ohori Park and the castle ruins, as well as around the corner from the subway station. there is a conbini on the same block, and a 7-11 only a few blocks away.
will definitely be staying here again in the future. thank you UNPLAN for making my first trip to Japan absolutely incredible. "
"Comfortable bed and amenities. Co space to have coffee or relax. You can still hear people at night even when they are trying to be quiet. Take exit 4 from train if you have a trolley bag with escalators instead of stairs. "
"Really nice and convenient the subway is a 5 minute walk! Also being close to the Ohori park is very nice as well. Also appreciate the 24 hour staff "
"A too-brief stay of 2 nights and 3 days in Fukuoka. It's a great city with a lot to offer. The room was clean, compact, and comfortable - if you are accustomed to Western-style hotels, be aware that the rooms are quite small by comparison. Everything worked well, including the ability to control the temperature.
As the name implies, it is in the western part of the Tenjin neighborhood, close to lots of shopping and eating, and walkable (a little further) to areas such as the popular Canal City Hakata.
Short walk to two stations on the Airport line, which takes you to Hakata Station and also directly to Fukuoka Int'l Airport - cheap and efficient.
The staff were polite and efficient. Check-in was at a kiosk, with some assistance from staff. A special note about Mr. Chun, who was very friendly and helpful. He also speaks excellent English.
Note: the entrance is easy to pass - enter just to the left of Cafe Max coffee shop."
