“We had a perfect stay at Five Sabrosa Senses. Everything was wonderful: delicious breakfast, incredibly helpful and available staff, and a beautiful house made for pure relaxation. We especially loved enjoying the stunning views during the rainy weather. The sauna was absolutely the highlight! We’ll definitely be back.”

After many failed attempts to reach the hotel we have accepted the loss. After unanswered emails and lengthy times on hold and finally speaking to someone we were asked to call back the next day. “A vista da varanda era panorâmica sim , era linda . A cama para um casal não fez muito sentido, duas camas juntas mas feitas em separado cada un com os seus lençóis, que casal dorme assim? A comida do bar e restaurante também ficou um pouco a desejar , uma tabua de queijos e enchidos um pouco mal servida e com uma apresentação um pouco má paraum hotel 4 estrelas.”

“We are a family of 5 with 3 kids under 12. We visited in March and it was very quiet/serene. Portovella has a beautiful view of the Douro. Riverside walk is just several steps down a hill. Photos don’t do it justice because it is so breathtaking in person. The comfort suite was the perfect size with 2 bathroom ensuites and a powder room. View from the suite was incredible. Just plan ahead if you’re staying on a Sunday as many restaurants were closed but we found a gem in Cinfaes - Sabores e……

“I was never able to get to the hotel due to road closures caused by flooding in the area. The hotel never communicated to me via any means before hand. I made multiple attempts trying to get to the hotel through different roads and all ended up being closed at a some point. The sun went down and it was very dark. We were lucky to eventually drive out of the scary dangerous roads. A refund request was denied by the hotel. While I understand the policy, I don’t understand why the hotel never……
