“Best part of stay: View from back deck watching the pacific and sunset”

“Family-run hotel. Very nice people, and very accommodating. I see from some reviews that picky folk might be bothered that the decor is not the latest, and the tv is CRT instead of flatscreen, but the basics are there: clean room, comfortable bed, etc. And while they didn't provide breakfast on-site, with the money we saved by staying here, we got a great breakfast nearby at Schat's Bakery (down the street, and another one in the Friedman's Home Improvement store). There are some nice choices...

“Good price but terrible service, I stayed 4 nights and even though I requested housekeeping service several times it was never provided. This goes without mentioning the overall cleanliness of the room I was given, which unfortunately reeked of cigarrete smoke, and was overall not very clean. The floors were still wet when the room was given to me, which is a slipping risk. Thankfully the serice personnel was able to mop off the water a bit, but the floors still remained damp. ”

“We loved our stay here. Room was clean and the outdoor courtyard was nice. The hotel Cafe Poppy is a convenient place to grab a morning latte. Several good restaurants within walking distance. Overall a nice beautiful historic inn.”
