Toilet flushed on its own constantly. Had to complain late at night and had to move to another room which was only available because someone had to cancel. The hotel advertised food but there wasnt a chef because they were working along wirh bar staff at the nearby festival., no regard to hotel guests. We paid far too much money for the poor facilities and obvious lack of staff . Also we parked in their customer car park, residents only. When we checked in we had to give registration details, when we told the staff member she said it was for staff only. Room nice size, clean and friendly staff. It is above a pub so might need ear plugs if want total quiet. I would not recommend them at all during the winter. The boiler was not turned on until we complained and even then, we didnt have any heat until 1 or 2 in the morning for just a few hours. Confirmed with other guests that they experienced the same. Staff ladies were friendly and kept reporting the issue, but the owner told them it was only us with the problem and nothing changed. Very questionable. I had to make arrangements 2 nights of my week stay to sleep elsewhere, and ended up checking out a day early because it was so cold in the rooms. 4th night affected i toughed it out because my daughter couldnt pick me up duw to work. Owner definitely pinching due to higher rates but I stayed here after confirming prior they did turn the heat on (due to experiencing this elsewhere previously), so its pretty disappointing.
