The staff were excellent. The views spectacular. And once my wife got the app that told her the names of the stars and planets she was looking at, she rated this trip as everything she wanted and more. However, I wasn't as impressed. First, the unit, although well positioned, had a problem with the pilot light in the heater that was to be fixed just after we checked in. It wasn't so it was one cold night. It was the next morning when someone came to turn off the fire alarm that went on due to heat from the shower that things got back on track. And the water in the shower and the sink took a while to warm up then didn't stay with us very long. But the bed was comfy cosy and the views were spectacular. As for meals, on our first night my wife had the salmon which she declared was kind of dry. My prawns and scallops were smothered in crispy onions which overwhelmed everything else. The second night we shared the steak but despite telling our server we were sharing, the meal was brought out on one plate. I said we were expecting this to be divided in the kitchen. We were told, extremely apologetically that they didn't do that. So there we were, in a supposed fine dining restaurant hacking away at a tough steak and splitting our meal onto two plates. For breakfast, the eggs didn't seem up to the free range standard I'd expected in a 5 star resort. So at the end of the day I rated this as average to good. Again, nice people and fabulous stars but not worth $800 per.
