The facilities were clean (toilets, showers). Simple to check in and out. Note that the hostel is on top of the hill. So each time you would have to climb up and down the Monchsberg. Some areas of improvement or things to take note: 1. Since it’s next to a nature reserve, there are bugs in the room and your bed if you open the windows. Perhaps bring some bug nets to place over the window. 2. The temperature controls were not working and there was no fan in the room. Two of the three nights were quite stuffy and hot, and there was no way to circulate air in the room. 3. Bag lockers are automated, pay 1 euro to lock. Not free. For reference, I was in Room 10, the only room on the second floor.

The hotel was lovely, though far from the city center. Front desk staff was great!! The bed & pillows were amazing!

Nice place and staff were very helpful. The receptionist printed us the free bus ticket and explained to us that we had this just because we paid the city taxes.

The property is in a really good location, if you don't have a car it's very easy to get to Salzburg as you can take the bus and it's only about 20mins to the centre and about 30mins from the train station. The scenery around the hotel is lovely and it's very relaxing to sit outside and have some food/drinks. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. My only minor point is that they don't charge you the tourist tax when you check-in, but when you check out and as there was no recpetion staff around when I needed to leave and I couldn't wait any longer than I already had, so they contacted me after to request that I email them my credit card details so they could take the payment for the 4 Euros. I was a bit concerned about that, but it seems to have been ok.
