The location by the Mississippi River is beautiful. The train tracks running beside it caused us to be woken up 2 or 3 times in the night. The town of Louisiana is tired and old, has few restaurants. The property is tired and old, has poor wifi. Stop look at the river and go on down the road….. stay elsewhere!

The bed was very comfortable. The room was nice and cold like I like. The managers were amazing. I forgot to tell them no maid service. When we got back to the room, it had fresh towels. I'm not very trusting of hotel personnel because of past theft. So normally I do not want maid service. However, bottom line, it was a comfortable stay. I loved hearing the train. The only con is there was a broke down pickup truck in front of our room. :(

Hotel was in a great location overlooking the Mississippi River and right next to the bridge entrance. Parking lot was tight for larger vehicles and not trailer friendly but the staff was wonderful! This hotel worked out great for our 2 night stay. Thank you!!

Upon arrival the property side did not appear very inviting. The area seemed pretty sketchy with a bar on site and some rowdy people outside. As a female, I would not of wanted to stay by myself. However, it was after dark. First impression of the room was dark and dreary. Not updated and very old. But on the positive side, the room was very clean. The air worked great. Bathroom was very clean and the bed was very comfortable! We were also surprised to come back to the room with our bed made and clean towels! Rates were as expected. Being a small town venue, I think they do a great job!

Owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. Told me about local places to and even remember my name when I went down to get another pillow. Room was clean and spacious. The only possible negative is you hear the trains going by but for me that was just added ambiance.

Room was very clean and fresh smelling. We had stayed before (July 2025) and our room smelled old and damp. This time was MUCH better. Staff was very pleasant. We will use River's Edge again. Thank you so much!
