"Needed to pass through and check in late 1-2am. Easy enough. Room was dated but functional. The front desk made me a fresh batch of coffee well after the breakfast hours. For the price, I'd stay again in a pinch."

"This lovely home had everything that one would need to enjoy a quiet weekend. Plenty of room to relax and enjoy quality time with the family. Two lounging areas, 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths (one upstairs), plus a large dining room table. I loved the historic feel of the home, imagining life of the past tenants... 150 plus years ago. Before and after pictures of the renovation were provided. The house fits right in to the historical feel of the town. We took a short walk to the main stree to a small coffee shop, then spotted a shallow creek to dip our toes in. I wish I had more time."

"Homestead Hideaway was perfect for our girls party! The bedrooms were comfy as was the living room. The living room was perfect for hanging out and relaxing, best couch ever! The host's communication was great, she was very easy to contact. Totally recommend it, it met and exceeded our expectations!"

"If you see the photos you can tell exactly what you're going to get here. It's not a 5-star resort, but the owners have clearly poured a ton of time and effort into transforming this little old house in a functional, convenient place to stay that's just filled with character. I appreciated all the amenities, the wifi worked flawlessly, and the house was well-stocked with everything we might have needed. Thank you so much for letting us stay there!"

"We didn't get to spend as much time on the property as we would have liked but we enjoyed our time. It was a peaceful spot on a secluded property. Meeting Dexter the Donkey and the cats on the property, as well as enjoying the scenery, was the highlight. The house is quant, maybe a little cluttered with unnecessary furniture making the spaces feel a little small, but we loved all of the plant life and nostalgia as well as the coffee area. The upstairs was a little rough for sleeping as the ceilings are low and the steps are steep, and as a larger girl I was worried the bed frames wouldn't hold my weight, may be better suited as book nook. but that is a personal opinion. The downstairs bedroom is cute, but could use a slightly bigger bed for couples (even though a full is listed, and is accurate) and maybe some shades to block out that 6am light for those that like to sleep in. Of course, these are all personal things that I prefer when I stay places. The host was amazing at checking in with us and making sure our needs were met. This is a perfect place for a few singles just passing through or wanting to get out of the city and live the country life for a few days."
