The hotel is nice and in a very convenient location for seeing Derry. Liked that it is on the opposite side of river from action of Derry so was quiet. The staff failed to tell us that the apprentice parade was occurring during the time we were there. We left in the morning and were surprised to find that we could not get near the hotel in the afternoon due to road closures. We drove around for 2 hours and had to stop somewhere and wait another hour to get back. We had planned on visiting museums of Derry when we returned but were too late to get in. Very disappointing. There should have been some communication with the guests to tell them about this disruption. We also had to make 3 requests for a top sheet for the bed as the duvet was too hot to sleep under.
