The establishment can sometimes pick you up or drop you off. The shared toilets and bathing facilities are clean and separated by gender, but the tired slippers at the entrance don’t seem like a very hygienic alternative to one’s own shoes… maybe we were spoiled by staying in too many business and apartment hotels and...

"A great, family run, traditional Japanese inn. The people that run it are great. Very helpful, very good atmosphere and a caring staff. My family and I really enjoyed it. Clean, comfortable and right near a nice walking trail too. "

The facilities themselves are great, from the spacious rooms, onsens, provided kimono and sandals for the onsens and property, and the staff excellent. Also appreciated the afternoon welcome drink service. Would highly recommend for a stay in Takayama. "
