"It was very shabby and it smelt bad. It is conveniently situated for the centre of Clacton but it was very noisy and so I didn't sleep well. There was very little space in the bathroom. They don't do breakfasts so I had to schlep round town in the heat trying to find somewhere. On a positive note the gentleman was very friendly and welcoming when I checked in."

It is currently undergoing some much-needed maintenance, leading to some unwelcome building noise and obstructions. There were a number of issues with our room, including a shower which would not drain properly, and dodgy wifi, leading also to problems with the TV.
