"We stayed at the St Nicholas, for a gig at the Castle, which is part of the George over the road where reception, bar, restaurant etc are. Location couldn’t be better. Room was fairly standard, but very clean. A bit noisy as fronted onto the High St but didn’t interrupt our sleep. The George is an old coaching inn and a beautiful building. The staff were all extremely friendly, the bar we used at the end of our night out was full of character and the breakfast served the next morning was excellent."

I guess the only thing which would have made our stay better would have been a fridge in the room to keep our drinks cool - but the air conditioning was a dream! We would definitely stay again."
