"My parents are buried in Horning, so Norfolk has lots of memories. I decided I wanted to celebrate my 60th in Winterton on Sea. We’ve stayed in various cottages in the area, but Larner’s Lodge was by far the best bungalow. We had to stay in the Fisherman’s Return on our first night, so took a sneaky peak at the outside of Larner’s Lodge later that day. Situated down a private driveway, set in a very pleasant location. The bungalow was clean, spacious the perfect place to stay for my 60th....

"The cottage is within a short walk of the sea, the beach is accessible via a steep path after approximately ten minutes. There is a bench to sit on and admire the view of the sea if you don’t fancy the steep path. The cottage itself was spacious, 3 nice bedrooms with the comfiest beds I’ve slept in for a long time. A decent bathroom with a bath and overhead shower and wc. There is also a separate room with a stand alone shower cubicle. The kitchen supplies were brilliant with plenty of crockery...

"We enjoyed our stay and the property was in a good location for us, a short walk from the beach and Bus stops so we didn't need to worry about finding parking. Our only problem was that the stairs are quite steep and, being retired and not in the best of health, my husband struggled with that."

"The property was lovely and tastefully decorated. It had what we needed and more. The views and proximity of the property surpassed our expectations. We enjoyed exploring Norfolk and all it had to offer, but also loved relaxing in the house as the views were lovely. Spent hours watching boats coming and going in the evenings. We also saw so much wildlife, such as deer, herons and birds of prey. Loved every minute of our stay."

"Wonderful house in a perfect location. The whole family had a great time - brilliant well-equipped house, big garden ideal for playing in and sitting out in the evening watching the sunset across the fields. 10 mins walk to the sandy beach and then long walks to Waxham Sands to see the seals. Great coffee and cafe at Waxham Barn and wonderful pub lunch at The Nelson Head after swimming at Winterton-on-sea, another fantastic sandy beach. All in all a brilliant holiday."

"We were a little disappointed as we weren’t overlooking river which we obviously misread. The beds were excellent and we enjoyed the quietness of the place. Our dog loved the garden. "Despite a small mix up with the cleaners not having been booked in (and finding a rotting banana skin in the bedroom drawer even after the cleaners had been in!), the accommodation contains everything you need and is perfect for a family break. Could do with a more detailed information pack perhaps with some details of local attractions. It was really expensive to go swimming. (think we paid about £17 for 4 of us to use the pool for 45 minutes). But its a nice central location and a pleasant...

The house is conveniently located in the village of Rollsby, in a quiet location but still close enough to the main roads leading to supermarkets, pubs and other local attractions. Communication from the owners was both helpful and thoughtful. The house was furnished with everything we needed for our stay (and loads more!) and we were grateful that the owners had also put in the extra effort of adding a Christmas tree, fully laid...
