“Heel fijn met in de buurt veel wandel mogelijkheden in het Ashdown Forrest. Niet ver daar vandaan was een mooi tuincetrum waar we veel tuingereedschap voor thuis gekocht hebben. Ook tuinen als Sissinghurst en Krijtrotsen de Seven Sisters was prima te rijden op ongeveer 1 uur vanaf het huisje. Als je van Winnie de Pooh houd is er in Hartfield op 20 min. rijden de Pooh Corner waar de schrijver zijn inspiratie had met niet ver daar vandaan de brug en woonplekken van de dieren in het verhaal.”

“Wat een heerlijk huis in het charmante Royal Tunbridge Wells! Het ligt rustig, een beetje heuvelopwaarts en midden in het stadscentrum. Het treinstation is 10 minuten lopen, met er tegenover een supermarkt. Het huis is erg ruim, licht en voelt heel knus aan. Het is van alle gemakken voorzien m.b.t. koken, eten etc. De badkamer heeft een bad. De grote slaapkamer heeft een royaal bed met luxueus beddengoed. Ik heb er heerlijk geslapen. “This house was perfect for me, my husband and my sister. We were at a lunch party on Haying Island and we were able to easily drive to Sheffield Park in the light. The parking was so convenient and the cottage was extremely well equipped, not that we needed a washing machine. I would unhesitatingly recommend it. We tried to set off the dishwasher just the once, but the top shelf was attached by elastic bands and so we didn't risk putting anything there. Had we been going to stay longer I would...

“Exactly as described. A lovely English cottage in rural surroundings, but close to all the amenities of Hurstpierpoint and a short drive from Brighton. Comfortable living and dining rooms, well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Loved the crisp white linen sheets, the huge bath towels and the nice hot showers. Toys and books for our 4 year old grandson, lovely artwork on the walls, we felt totally at home and loved staying here. We felt as though the hosts really cared about us and hadn’t skimped...

“We spent a lovely few days at Lychgate Cottage. We did find it a bit difficult to locate the property once in the village and didn’t have a telephone number to contact the owners or Vrbo. The cottage was very cosy and equipped with everything we could want and more. We were supplied with lots of essentials on arrival (ie tea, coffee, bread , milk etc) and more. Anthony and Marilyn welcomed us on arrival and Marilyn showed us around the cottage. Henfield is a small village only about 5 minutes...
