We were there during the hurricane and had booked for a late checkout. I asked at the front desk what we were to do as the hurricane was roaring and our flights were cancelled. The front desk person told me I needed to check out anyway and they couldn’t guarantee a room for the additional night. I asked where I was to go he said I don’t know but we need to clean the room for incoming guests. There was no power or water and no flights coming in… we just left and found other hotels that were more welcoming in a difficult time

Convenient. Quiet. Spacious. Limited pleases to eat. We had early flight so airport had nothing open and hotel had nothing. I can’t help but think In Italy when we had an early flight the hotel had breakfast in a sack for departing guests. Why isn’t that done in the USA?

The property had absolutely no vending machines to get drinks or anything else. They were supposed to have a little “shop” to get that kind of stuff but they were out of everything. The free breakfast was terrible and no jelly but a lot of breads for toast and only butter for them. Eggs were hard and sausage wasn’t cooked and rubbery. That was all they had! They had bottles of water in the room but they cost $5 each!!!! Also no quarters for the washing machines that only ran on quarters!

During the storm the power and water was out. Power was expected yes but why no water. The hotel had started to smell because of people not being able to flush toilets. There was no back up generators. Other hotels around this the same area had water and generators.

Upon arrival, sofa bed was dirty with crumbs and dirty tissues. Requested housekeeping during my stay and never received cleaning services. Complained and all I got was an apology and 3 clean towels. Wouldn’t recommend or return again.

We were only there for 9 hours. But it was lovely. We liked the room layout, the view, it was nice and cool. We asked for cutlery for our takeout order and they were happy to help. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Houston.
