The staff were very friendly and helpful. Large car park round the back of the hotel which even boasts some of the wall from the fort on Hadrian's wall. Also there is a section of the wall in the hotel reception. We will definitely stay here again when we next visit Carlisle."

"My husband, our pup and I had the pleasure of staying at the Halston for one night, and I wish we had booked for longer. The apartment/hotel rooms are large, far more generous than the photos, and very well equipped for both long and short stays. The staff provided a welcome package on arrival, complete with dog treats, crumpets, jam, butter, milk and coffee – which was so appreciated after a day of travel. The space is quiet, clean, comfortable and very conveniently located to the train station. With good restaurants on site and a nice outdoor area for a pint – it is just a lovely hotel."
