Room was not cleaned at all, floors completely unswept, stains on the chair and sofa. All the kitchen cupboards had been left wide open. And there was a stench of stale smoke in the room. Beds had the cheapest, most uncomfortable mattresses, and one of the beds had clearly been broken as there was a large dip in the middle, the bed wasn't made at all. They did try moving me to a different property, However that was without AC and was immediately above a busy loud bar that had the music coming through the floor, so much so that I could feel it. All in all, very unpleasant experience and unprofessional service. They were relatively quick to respond to my complaints, however were not able to find a solution that suited.

The hotel was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great. Central location but we stayed there on a Friday night and we could hear loud music until 4 am

The staff was unhelpful when we arrived. I asked for two keys and the room number in a card holder. The desk attendant didn’t show or say which floor and number. I had to back down stairs to ask again. The breakfast was terrible compared to the hot food we had in Manchester.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location was great, right opposite Sefton park and close to the main road and shops. The building was beautiful and steeped in history. It was tastefully decorated and tastefully lit throughout. They had a manned reception with a very helpful and polite lady on the desk. Our room was spacious and again, tastefully decorated with high quality items and a luxurious, en-suite bathroom. Despite being near a main road the room was relatively quiet and we both had a good sleep and a very relaxing stay. There was limited parking within the property grounds, but there was additional, off-road parking just outside.
