Golf and pickle

The house was perfect for our friends reunion trip. Plenty of bed space, well stocked, good location, loads of activities (pickleball, foos, ping pong, Owners are very responsive and helpful.

Fantastic family home

We had three fantastic weeks at this well stocked home. Very clean, comfortable beds, tons for the kids to do. Great backyard. Neighbourhood is very friendly. Alex was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. We would rent here again.

Exactly what we needed

Really enjoyed the outdoor space (pool, hot tub, pickleball court)! Most places I saw had the entirety of the backyard taken up by the pool so this was a find! Also, nice grill, comfortable beds and couches, and a nice space redone in the garage for a playroom! Property manager very responsive.

Family vacation

We had a group of 8, 6 adults and 2 toddlers with our dogs. The house is very nice and clean. 3 bedrooms plus a bonus bedroom off the garage "game room". All rooms are of a nice size for couples. Only two bathrooms, one of which is in the master bedroom. Living room is nice with modern furniture. Kitchen and dining area are of a good size. Game room is fun with a few table games. Washer and dryer available. Backyard is large with a nice pool and pickle ball court. We spent most of the day in the pool and used the bbq for meals. We spent the evenings around the dining table playing board games. We had a very nice time. Host was very helpful and responded quickly with the few questions we had. We enjoyed our stay.

Great Fun House for a Family

This is a very fun place to stay - our family used the pool every day and I taught my youngest son to play pickleball. We had a blast. The yard is much bigger than average in this area with plenty of room to play. The kitchen and bathrooms are up to date and the beds are comfy. Depending on what you're planning the location might not be great, it's about a half hour into palm springs, but we didn't mind. The kitchen is well stocked and the appliances are nice and new including a proper gas stove. However the pots and pans are old, dented, loose handles... they need to be thrown in the trash and replaced. The pool and spa were fantastic. The spa heats to 102 which is great! Be aware that the pool heat is expensive and only heats to 81, which is fine as long as the weather cooperates but if it's cloudy or you have little kids that may not be warm enough. We had a great time and are likely to visit again.

The perfect getaway - and Pickleball, too!

This is a great property! We loved that we could relax at the house, enjoy the pool and/or the spa, and unwind with a little pickleball - or, we had easy access to nearby hiking and other activities. it is about 30 minutes from downtown Palm Springs. What we loved: - all the recreation opportunities at the house - pool, spa, ping pong, foosball, pickleball - big kitchen and dining area with plenty of space in the living room to play games, socialize, etc. - easy access to Indian Wells or Coachella - Alex was a responsive and pleasant homeowner - Wifi was fast and reliable - Host provided thoughtful welcome items What to know, just in case: - the pickleball court is surrounded by grass, and/or dirt. It makes for an uneven playing area - we worked around it, and still had fun - the water heater and/or laundry machines are very near the 4th bedroom (a converted 3rd car garage port). This can make for noisy sleeping in that bedroom. Earplugs did the job for our teenager that loved the room. - The listing is clear about additional charges for heating the pool, heating the spa, and/or pets. I only mention it here because I missed it (my fault), and the fees added up. - There are no desks in any of the rooms. If you will be working while visiting, you will either need to use the dining room table, or sit in a separate room with your computer on your lap.

Great home - few concerns

Darling house in a safe neighborhood. The hosts were attentive and willing to help. We did notice an odor in the bunk room (it is attached to the garage and not in the main part of the house - something I wish I had known when booking because it felt so much further away from the rest of the rooms). Though clean, there was an odd smell in the garage that permeated that extra bedroom. We dragged a couple of the mattresses to the main part of the home because it was so bothersome to our group. I should have let the hosts know of the odor right away, but we did let them know about it when we checked out. The beds were comfy and the hot tub was really nice. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the basics/essentials. We are big pickleball players (we flew in for a pickleball tournament) and so we intentionally booked this home because it had a pickleball court. For the casual player, it may be just fine, but for us it was really dangerous for competitive play. There are large gaps of concrete missing on both sides of the court. These are much larger than just fine line cracks that you may expect from settling concrete. If a shoe got hooked in the crack, someone could get hurt badly. Like I said, if you are casual players who don't run much on the court, then maybe it's not an issue. For us, it rendered the court basically unusable which was such a disappointment. All things considered, we had a nice trip.

The backyard was the highlight of our stay! The pool was nice, and the large backyard area was a highlight for the (2) dogs. The house itself was well stocked and we especially loved the "game garage". Host was very communicative and flexible!

A group of 8 friends met in the desert for golf and good times. None were disappointed, the house was clean, well appointed and comfortable. Pickleball, pool and spa were great. I only dinged the location (4 stars) because of nearby construction, otherwise it worked very well. Alex was very accessible and responded almost immediately to all of our questions.

Nice House, Conveniently Located Near the Tennis Gardens

We were happy the house was so close to the tennis venue! Alex is great communicator & answered all our questions promptly. The house is great for a large family with kids! However, the house could use a little TLC to bring the level up a notch: There is a charge to heat the pool & a charge for heating the jacuzzi. We paid for heating the jacuzzi, but never used it because it didn't get hot enough. We were looking forward to using the ping-pong table, but there wasn't one there when we arrived (It was broken.) The pots/pans are very old & well used. The extra room off the garage with bunk beds is more for childen than adults (especially us older adults). There were plenty of plates, bowls, coffee cups, glasses, utensils, & there were lots of condiments! And, the washer/dryer was very convenient!

Solid home

Great, big backyard- really good-size pool, good amount of pool toys, pickle ball court was fun, lots of chairs/loungers/table space. Only downside was the amount of shade. Thankfully we brought an EZ-up which saved us! They also had a ping pong and fooseball table in the garage, that the kids loved. No complaints with the house, it was clean and well-stocked, except for 2 things- 1) they claim there is a “casitas”, but it is really the 3rd garage space that has been converted into a room. It was sooo hot in there, even running the AC at the lowest temperature allowed, and there was no separate stand-up AC unit like was advertised. So while the rest of the house was freezing cold at 73 degrees, the converted garage probably got no lower than 80 degrees. The owner had a fan dropped off, but a couple of the kids that slept in there ended up moving to the living room sofas in the middle of the night because they were so hot. The window shades in a couple of the rooms also still let a lot of brightness in, so it was hard to sleep once it was daylight. Overall, we loved the backyard and fun amenities, but it was more like a 3-bedroom, 2 bath house, not 4-bedroom since that room was too hot to truly get comfortable in.

Disappointed, numerous maintenance issues.

Numerous issues. All communicated to host. A small refund was requested and host agreed to refund the small cleaning fee during stay, but did *not* refund. Host told VRBO no issues were observed. Unbelievable. We provide complete text dialogue between us and host to VRBO.Lessons learned:Call VRBO directly *during rental* if you have issues. Don't contact this host.Payment provided to heat pool was outside VRBO. Don't do this!Refrigerator: The refrigerator smelled badly. We immediately removed all items in the refrigerator and threw them away and cleaned it ourselves. Unfortunately the smell lingered for the whole stay. Baking soda is a clue of ongoing issues. This house offers a pickleball court and is likely an attraction for you as a renter. Pickleball net severely sagged on arrival. The pickleball court is appropriate for recreational play, but if you are an avid player look elsewhere. The concrete surface size is barely larger than the marked court size meaning you will need to stand in the grass to return serves. During our stay the sprinkler came on during the day wetting the court making it unplayable.Many minor maintenance issue - pool vacuum did not work at times, laundry doors fall off tracks, missing shower drain, missing oven dispersion plates, broken umbrellas, grill grease pan dripping, etc. Host blamed issues on housekeeping. Expect host will comment they tried to address issues, but look elsewhere in our opinion.

Property had a great backyard and pool area! The host, Alex, was very responsive. The home was very nice but not as clean as I would have liked. The ceiling fans were had a layer of dirt built up. I have very bad allergies which didn’t help.

My family had a wonderful stay at Alex’s place. The property is clean, updated and comfortable. Plenty of places to relax, eat, and chill. The kitchen is modern and well stocked. The backyard pool/jacuzzi area provided for hours of enjoyment. Communication with Alex was easy and prompt. Highly recommend!
