This property is ideally placed for touring the Highlands with Inverness 12 minutes by car, and the Cairngorm National Park just minutes away. The area is perfect for wildlife with many species of birds as well as red squirrels visiting the garden feeder. If you walk 300 yds along the track you come to the beautiful Moy Loch where you can have fun spotting otters and osprey competing for the trout. The house is warm and cosy with central heating and a wood burning stove (wood provided) and so is comfortable any time of the year. There is a bathroom (with shower over the bath) as well as a wet room (shower only) A short drive away Dolphins can be seen from the beach or there are Dolphin watching boat trips from Inverness. The location is very central to many highlands landmarks and the home is the coziest long stay we have ever experienced. Our stay was peaceful and euphoric - between the wonderful views of the wee lambs and the beautiful landscape, we couldn’t have asked for a better place. John and Di are also a beyond lovely couple, they are kind and generous with their time (as we are yappers) and shared some great tips with us! The house is located on great walking trails dotted with so much unique flora and trees that we spent most of our days at the house in the brush, identifying flowers. We absolutely loved our time at John and Di’s and cannot wait to plan our next stay if they will have us! The short title of the listing is absolutely correct; it is a stunning location. You are practically in your own forest with a Loch just a minute's walk. There are lots of walks around the house, and it is completely peaceful. There is an abundance of wildlife in the garden, including pheasants, Red Squirrels and hundreds of birds. We also saw the odd deer and a couple of sheep (although the owner encouraged the latter to return to their field!). The house is an ideal base for the highlands. Inverness is 20-minutes away, which gives you access to Loch Ness and the Black Isle. You also have easy access to Speyside and the Cairngorms. There is so much to see around here. The house has everything you can possibly need. It is immaculate inside and Jon was incredibly friendly, making sure everything was fine for us. We will return to this house. We had an amazing time. Wir konnten mehrfach täglich drei Eichhörnchen, zwei Fasane und viele verschiedene Vögel vom Esstisch aus beobachten. Zudem liegt der Loch Moy direkt um die Ecke, ist schnell zu Fuß zu erreichen und lädt zum Angeln ein oder man wandert um ihn herum. Es ist eine traumhafte Landschaft. Das Haus ist sehr sauber sowie sehr liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und man findet alles was man braucht. Unsere drei Kinder (5, 0, 0) und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Trotz der gemeinen Midges musste jeden Tag im Garten gekrabbelt und Fußball gespielt werden, bis es wegen der Midges nicht mehr zu ertragen war. Die Vermieter sind unglaublich freundlich und herzlich und haben uns sogar Brot, Wein, Chips und selbstgemachte Marmelade als Überraschung in die Küche gelegt. Sie wohnen direkt nebenan und stehen bei Fragen oder Problemen immer zur Verfügung. Wenn sich jemand darum sorgen sollte, dass es komisch sein könnte, dass die Vermieter direkt nebenan wohnen, dann können wir bedenkenlos versichern, dass es gar nicht auffällt. Wir fanden es sehr angenehmen und haben uns gefreut, wenn wir die Vermieter nach einem Spaziergang getroffen haben und mit ihnen Smalltalk halten konnten. Von dem Ferienhaus aus sind viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zwischen 30 min und 1 h sehr gut zu erreichen. Es gibt so unglaublich viel zu sehen, dass unsere neun Tage wie im Flug vergangen sind und eigentlich viel zu kurz waren. Maybe even better. The hosts were welcoming and so sweet. Meeting our arrival with a welcome spread that was delicious, extra books to read and a fishing pole for our son who loves to fish. The house was very clean, which is important to us. The location was stunning and not too far from eating and shops in Inverness. I saw maybe 30 that I thought might work. A short time before leaving I sat down and looked at all of them again and this one spoke to me as a top choice. I told myself "I am going to say yes and fill out the forms and if it comes back to me as available I am taking it" It came back a yes, and I could tell it was going to be good from the way the owner wrote back. Upon arriving, it was everything and more I could have wanted. We all loved every minute there. It was so well equipped and in a lovely natural setting. The bed rooms were comfortable and perfect for our group. We were able to easily cook in the kitchen and the dish washer made clean up easy. My elderly mom enjoyed being able to sit in the sunny dinning room and enjoy the birds, squirrels and even a pine Martin in the back garden. We went for walks to the loch and watched the sheep and bunny’s in the field. The home is close to so many interesting sites. We went to Loch Ness, Culloden Moore, Cairngorm National park, Inverness.
