Renovated Victorian stone villa in the Riverside Conservation Area

  • Dunvegan features a large family lounge, a spacious dining room, a study and a fully-equipped, modern kitchen on the ground floor. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms which will sleep 6 adults - - a king-size bed in the master bedroom, with an en-suite dressing room and en-suite bathroom; and a spacious double bedroom and a twin-bedded room, which share a generous family bathroom. When needed, there is also a double sofa bed in the study downstairs. Additionally, there is a single bedroom downstairs in an annexe, with en-suite toilet and shower. There are cots, high chairs and door barriers for toddlers.
    For parties which exceed 6 in number, and for booking the single room in the annexe, extra charges apply.

Amazing location in Inverness. Incredibly spacious and great views from every room. Well-equipped kitchen and within walking distance to all the shops, grocery stores, and the train station. I would 100% book here again. We loved staying across from the Castle Tavern and having the views across the river!

This place is AMAZING. Great views of the Castle, close walking distance to the town Centre (less than 10 minutes walking), and David makes parking a BREEZE with an Inverness parking permit. We would absolutely return on our next visit!! Truly, this is a gem of a find. 11/10!!

We had an incredible stay at the Dunvegan property! Everything about it was fantastic! The central location was perfect and the house was more than comfortable for our group. David was a kind, gracious and communicative host. We highly recommend staying at Dunvegan and truly hope to return some day. This area of Scotland is beautiful!!!

The house was absolutely perfect for my family's stay. Matches the pictures perfectly, so much space but also felt cosy. Can't get a better location - the castle is right there and so is a great pub and several restaurants. Could easily walk everywhere I needed to go. David was super helpful and provided all of the information needed to have an easy stay.

Here’s a polished version of your review that keeps the warmth and excitement of your experience:Beautiful period property with thoughtful modern updates that made our stay both comfortable and full of character. The kitchen was fully furnished if you would like to cook and the bathrooms had great showers with plenty of warm water. The location was absolutely amazing — just steps from the castle, where we enjoyed the Castle Experience. Restaurants and shopping were all within a quick walk, making it easy to explore the area without needing transportation. A must-visit is the Victorian Market. The food hall was a perfect spot to grab lunch, with plenty of options for everyone. We would absolutely stay here again!

Dunvegan-Inverness is the perfect place for your get-away to the highlands; very convenient for seeing the city on foot, particularly as it is in the shadow of Inverness Castle and very close to the River Walk, and easily escaping by car to the attractions in the area. David was very helpful and responsive, the perfect host. The house is roomy, elegant, functional, and clean. Parking pass with nearby spots always available made the visit by car worry-free.

This was such a wonderful stay it right across the street from the Castle Tavern. The rooms were very comfortable. If you have a group I would definitely stay here and enjoy the stay. It very walkable to restaurants and bars. The kitchen is great we used it to make breakfast.

This location was perfect. A short walk to main downtown, fun pub just across the street. This house has so much character and love the renovations done. Very cozy, clean and we enjoyed are stay here. There are a number of steps from street level to get up to the house.

Fantastic stay

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Great location. Magda the house keeper was a total gem. Would stay here again without hesitation. Only negative was parking and ease of getting luggage in and out, but can't be helped.
