Renovated Victorian stone villa in the Riverside Conservation Area

  • Dunvegan features a large family lounge, a spacious dining room, a study and a fully-equipped, modern kitchen on the ground floor. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms which will sleep 6 adults - - a king-size bed in the master bedroom, with an en-suite dressing room and en-suite bathroom; and a spacious double bedroom and a twin-bedded room, which share a generous family bathroom. When needed, there is also a double sofa bed in the study downstairs. Additionally, there is a single bedroom downstairs in an annexe, with en-suite toilet and shower. There are cots, high chairs and door barriers for toddlers.
    For parties which exceed 6 in number, and for booking the single room in the annexe, extra charges apply.

We had an incredible stay at the Dunvegan property! Everything about it was fantastic! The central location was perfect and the house was more than comfortable for our group. David was a kind, gracious and communicative host. We highly recommend staying at Dunvegan and truly hope to return some day. This area of Scotland is beautiful!!!

The house was absolutely perfect for my family's stay. Matches the pictures perfectly, so much space but also felt cosy. Can't get a better location - the castle is right there and so is a great pub and several restaurants. Could easily walk everywhere I needed to go. David was super helpful and provided all of the information needed to have an easy stay.

Dunvegan-Inverness is the perfect place for your get-away to the highlands; very convenient for seeing the city on foot, particularly as it is in the shadow of Inverness Castle and very close to the River Walk, and easily escaping by car to the attractions in the area. David was very helpful and responsive, the perfect host. The house is roomy, elegant, functional, and clean. Parking pass with nearby spots always available made the visit by car worry-free.

This location was perfect. A short walk to main downtown, fun pub just across the street. This house has so much character and love the renovations done. Very cozy, clean and we enjoyed are stay here. There are a number of steps from street level to get up to the house.

Fantastic stay

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Great location. Magda the house keeper was a total gem. Would stay here again without hesitation. Only negative was parking and ease of getting luggage in and out, but can't be helped.

The house was perfect, it makes us feel like home, the location was excellent and the amenities all was very good. As he mentioned one thing was kinda complicated to put the address in the navigation system, was hard to find it, but thanks to all the directions David provided us, we were able to find it.

Very comfortable with good water pressure and comfortable beds. Great location for exploring town and restaurants. Kentucky bourbon available at the liquor stores. Clean and well supplied kitchen.

Beautiful home in the perfect downtown location. Our family loved the amenities and the bedrooms were lovely. Our kids spent long nights playing chess in the dining room. Will definitely stay in this home again if we come back to Inverness.

We loved our stay in the house! We loved being so close to town to walk every where. House had every thing we needed. We enjoyed going to the Cairngorm mountains, Loch Ness and walking over to the Ness river.

Great location to downtown and the property itself, is wonderful. Roomy, well stocked with necessities and we felt like we were in a “castle” of our own for a few days. When we come back to Inverness, we will get this property if available.

Location, comfort and views

Well situated within easy walking distance of the riverside pedestrian trail, shops, and restaurants. The castle is literally the first thing you see out the window. Spacious and well kept rooms and elegant atmosphere.
