“Couldn't have asked for a lovelier stay. The Heather pod was an excellent base for our adventures around the west coast, and a gorgeous spot to settle down with a book and a cup of tea after a long day's walking. Kate is a great host, and the pod was cosy, comfortable and spacious. The setting is great for nature lovers too - we could hear warblers, whitethroats, snipe and more from the pod porch, and even had an encounter with a pine marten during our stay. “Catriona was a lovely host, she gave us plenty of information about the local area and suggestions of things to do. We stayed in the stable which was clean, comfortable, provided everything we could want and had an amazing spiral staircase which really makes the downstairs area. “Upon arrival at the gates, a herd of deer greeted us. The cottage, the appointments, the location, the tranquility did not disappoint. As birdwatchers, we enjoyed morning walks with various birdsongs. We would definitely return.”

“Fantastic place. Would highly recommend staying here. Cosy, clean and all the facilities you need. So if want to cook Dave and Co. have put a lot of thought into making it a home from home. Everything you need is there. If cooking is not for you there's always the microwave! Or you could visit the island's Gealic Heritage centre. Great food. We walked to it.... superb walk taking in the flora and fauna. So peaceful. Good that there is good WiFi... Unfortunately we all seem to want to be……

“We stayed in the cottage 24 years ago and loved it. It has not changed much. This is the charm of the place. The cottage is situated in a quiet setting on Loch Sunart and after exploring all day was a nice place to relax and unwind. Our host Charlie was great. We had a water issue and it was handled straight away. I hope to return soon. A week was to short.”
