I Wish I could Give a Better Review
This property evidently once was nice. Unfortunately it is nothing like the photos or listing description. The front light is broken and landscaping unkept. All three window blinds downstairs have multiple broken slats. The TV cabinet is short two glass panes. Cobwebs hang from the ceiling. The built-in microwave doesn’t work but remains in place. An old microwave is on the counter—taking up most of the available kitchen workspace. There is no plug in either sink drain. The gaskets of the dishwasher are moldy. The under sink cabinet is filthy. There aren’t even 4 full sets of silverware. There is only one small sauce pan and 2-3 fry pans. The outdoor patio carpet is filthy, probably because the backyard is primarily dirt which becomes mud when it rains. The fire pit is rusted with a broken top. The back yard light is also broken. The stairs and bedrooms are covered with stained, crushed and generally dirty carpet. The shower drain was clogged and required us plunging it to prevent it overflowing. There are no towel bars or places to keep your necessaries in the bathroom. The deck off the back is a mess and the canvas chairs need replacing. Don’t even open the furnace door—it’s filthy in there. This property needs more than “a little TLC!”

Not as advertised!
The VRBO worked, but the outdoor area was a mess. Make sure you bring everything because outside of salt and pepper there is nothing in the kitchen to help your preparation. No coffee, no nothing! I have never stayed in a place so scarce! Normally there is something appreciative left but to my surprise, nothing! They run on bare bones. The place needs a little TLC in many areas!

Great little duplex near the beach for us and our dogs
Great location, clean property, good communication from host made it seamless to visit our daughter in Jax beach. Pitcher of cold water waiting in the fridge a nice touch. Dogs loved the yard, bet it smells great when the magnolia is blooming. More art inside would warm it up a bit. Plenty of great local artists and vendors in Neptune, Atlantic, and Pablo beach.

Walking distance to the beach that is dog friendly. Property is dog friendly. Fenced backyard is dog friendly. Neighborhood full of people walking dogs and safe is dog friendly. Best brunch restaurant in the world a short walk away is dog friendly. Jax Beach has a lot of character and dog or no dog we have stayed here repeatedly and have booked 2 more visits. We have never met the owners and have no affiliation and can honestly say we are very happy with this property.

Filter your property down to walk to the beach, dog friendly, enclosed backward, affordable, in a cute neighborhood, clean well appointed with great parking. Great shopping. This place is a gem. We have already rebooked it for several future visits. Comfy beds, cold AC and great water pressure.

Beach Getaway
The unit was very clean and had everything we needed for our quick trip to Florida. It's on a nice quiet street and close to any type of store or restaurant you may need. It was only a short walk or drive to the beach which was very convenient.

Easy Walk to the Beach
The property was close enough to the beach that we walked on the beach every day with our dog. The area was quiet and very walkable. The Brunch Haus and a few other places to eat are nearby. There was only one TV in the living room, which was fine for us. We had good WiFi the whole time. The beds were good as far as I felt. The AC worked well and so did the heat as we had a cold morning. Plenty of towels for the two of us. Liquid hand soap and shampoo were provided but no bath soap. The had the good toilet paper. A few downsides: there was very little grass in the backyard. The pictures showed a nice grassy yard. It was mostly black sandy Jacksonville dirt. Our poor dog tracked it in everywhere and we had to wipe his feet well with ever trip out back. Our curious pup found a loose board and got into the other guest's yard. About a dozen boards were loose with nails backed out a half inch. We reported it to the manager and she had a nice guy come and repair it. He used screws to secure it. Also, the washer did not work. It never filled properly no matter the setting and left our clothes half covered in washing detergent. The shower drains slowly and the water dripped continuously. All in all, it was a good stay with a dog but the place needs some TLC. The kitchen pantry door does not close and there is no light in the laundry closet. There are no numbers on the house or the mailbox so we drove by it before we were sure it was the right spot. All in all, I would stay here again for the location but I'd hope they'd address some of the things pointed out.

Practical, affordable townhouse
For a last minute work trip at an affordable price, the townhouse worked out well. If you’re looking for luxury, this would not be for you. I also wouldn’t have enjoyed being there with our children because you’re not super close to the beach and you have to cross a busy road to get to the ocean. However, as a pet friendly option near the beach, it works well. While everything seemed to be in working condition, the townhouse could desperately use some TLC and upgrading.
