“After I reserved and paid for the property, the owner let me know it is not available and asked me to move to a different unit. This was last minute, so I didn't really have a choice. They said the new unit is better, but it didn't have a king size bed, which was why I chose the other unit. This unit was very minimal, with almost no amenities. So we could not use the kitchen as we had hoped to. No extra toilet paper, towels, blankets... The one blanket on the bed was dirty. The worse……

“We have stayed in VRBOs all over the country and this was by far our worst experience. The pictures have to be altered! There were big stickers all over the walls to cover blemishes, water damage, etc… The condo is not in a great area. There are bars on the windows and doors. It was in complete disrepair. The bedding was stained and dirty. We walked in and immediately reached out to Sophie and told her we would not be staying bc it was so misrepresented. She asked if we were in the wrong……

“We were four guys needing a one night stay prior to a liveaboard dive trip and this unit was ideal for our basic needs. There was one Queen sized bed, two double beds and one pull-out sofa bed. “The apartment was minimally equipped. As an example, the hair dryer had a European plug that didn't fit the sockets. Several light bulbs flickering and weak. Very few cooking utensils. The owner / manager was very responsive in sorting things out. The apartment is not near a beach, necessitating a rental car. To us, it seemed expensive for what it was. That said EVERYTHING in TCI is expensive. Next trip we would spend a little more and get something nicer, closer to the beach.”
