"So. This review only refers to the hotel. Schluchsee and the surrounding area is amazing and I absolutely recommend the restaurant Seehof in Schluchsee, although they also have service issues. The hotel is by far not as nice and comfortable as advertised in the pictures and on Expedia as a whole. "I visited Freiburg to explore the Altstadt (Old Town). This hotel’s location was exceptional. It was right next door to the main train station where I arrived on a train from Stuttgart via Karlsruhe. It was great to take a cool shower and relax in the air-conditioned hotel room after I arrived. I spent that evening and the next morning exploring the beautiful Altstadt that was a block away from the hotel. The buffet breakfast in the morning had everything I needed. The dining room was very clean and comfortable."

Next door to Aldi was also a great bonus. Cons: no in room dining options, you are not allowed to bring and eat outside food in the hotel. Bathroom was pretty small for the size of room. There was No sink in toilet."

"B&B Hotel Villingen-Schwenningen offers excellent value for money and is a great option for anyone looking for clean, comfortable accommodation in a convenient location. The hotel was clean, well maintained, and ideally situated, making it easy to explore the local area. Our room had a comfortable bed that provided a good night's sleep, and overall we found the facilities to be exactly what we needed for our stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit, creating a positive experience from check-in to departure. The only area that could be improved is the pillows. They were too soft and offered very little support, which affected the overall comfort of the night's sleep. Providing guests with a choice of firmer pillows would be a welcome improvement. Overall, this hotel delivers exactly what it promises: clean accommodation, a good location, friendly service, and excellent value for money. I would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the area and would gladly stay here again."

"Good location, close to public transportation and food. Well maintained property. The staff at reception were polite but not friendly. Some of the toiletries in the bathroom were not refilled before we arrived. Parking is not included and can be a bit pricey over a few days. The car park is not convenient to drive in and out of often. Overall, the hotel is good value for money and a comfortable stay."
