Tranquilo y con preciosas vistas. Jardín. Wifi. The Barn es el lugar perfecto para alojarse si desea estar en un lugar tranquilo, aunque no apartado, práctico para llegar a los lugares de interés, las tiendas y, por supuesto, los paseos y los lagos. Los visitantes disfrutan de la sensación hogareña de The Barn y están ansiosos por regresar a esta pequeña joya única. El granero está lleno de carácter y es muy cómodo. Se encuentra en una aldea tranquila, a solo unos kilómetros de las comodidades de Kendal. Hay muchas ventanas que dan al jardín y Potter Fell, la colina más cercana. Las 6 ventanas del techo le dan al granero una sensación de luminosidad y amplitud. En el piso superior encontrará la sala de estar de planta abierta, con vigas a la vista, un nuevo fuego de gas vivo para las noches frías y un televisor de 40 "con Freesat y Netflix. Hay cómodos asientos para cinco y una mesa de comedor de buen tamaño. El área de la cocina tiene todo lo que necesitará para preparar y cocinar comidas. ¡Los platos deben ser lavados por el que no cocinó! (Sin lavavajillas). Se proporciona un paquete de bebidas de bienvenida y wifi gratuito. En la planta baja hay una habitación doble con dos ventanas que dan al jardín y una vista de Potter Fell. El dormitorio está alfombrado y tiene una cama de roble (con manta eléctrica) y armarios de roble y espejo. Las obras de arte originales se suman al atractivo. Se proporciona toda la ropa de cama. Esta es una habitación muy agradable para dormir. El cuarto de baño contiene inodoro, ducha y lavabo. Es pequeño y agradable. Se proporcionan toallas. Hay un gran jardín (aunque algo cubierto) con áreas de descanso y vistas al campo. El jardín tiene áreas soleadas por las mañanas y tardes ... está moteado debido a los árboles. El área es rural, por lo que generalmente escuchará y verá las ovejas en el campo siguiente y las muchas aves que cantan en los árboles. En la parte delantera de la propiedad hay estacionamiento para 1 automóvil (o 2 por acuerdo). Tenga en cuenta que se necesita cuidado en las escaleras que bajan a la entrada del granero y no son adecuadas para personas con dificultades para caminar. Nuestro Lakeland Barn tiene excelentes paseos desde la puerta. A pocas millas en automóvil, puede visitar los hermosos valles de Longsleddale y Kentmere y las ciudades de Staveley y Kendal. Bowness, Windermere, Troutbeck y Ambleside también están a poca distancia. Incluso Keswick y los lagos del norte están a una hora en coche, al igual que Coniston, Ulverston y Grange-over-Sands. The Barn is a nice little place, very cosy on a great location. A nice garden with a nice view. Very quiet. Situated on an ideal spot between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. The owner was very helpful when we had a problem with the fridge. Solved in less than a day! Kitchen very well equipped, everything we needed was there. Why not perfect? Because there was no washingmachine (nothing wrong with washing by hand) and it's not suitable for disabled people (which furtunately we are not. So for us it was indeed perfect! The place itself is, in my opinion, actually a bit nicer than the photo's with a lovely gas fire place that was very welcome as it rained pretty heavily for the first half of our stay. But when the sun came out almost every window was a picture; lambs, green rolling hills, a busy bird-feeder and fluffy cloud adorned blue skies. The place is clearly loved and little touches like fresh flowers and a few friendly but unobtrusive guiding notes made us few cared for. ##### Andy C. Very simply and nicely decorated, comfortable, well equipped and convenient to all in the Lakes. Nice walks from house. Owner was very responsive and took great care that all Was Good for us. We really enjoyed the gas fireplace in the evening which produced quite a bit of heat. ##### Deborah J. It was perfect for a stay in the Lake District. Fran's communication was quick and she made sure everything was sorted for our arrival. Ze heeft alle inns en outs van het huisje laten zien. Zeer gezellig ingericht met oog voor detail. Verrassingen zoals worteltaart, fles wijn, bloemen stonden klaar. Kendal itself is very easy to reach, only about 5 min. drive, for trips to the main area of the Lake District you drive about 25 min. but then you are already directly at Lake Windermere. The landlady Fran is very nice and accommodating. It's so cosy and full of character! We went for a walk around Grasmere lake & Rydal caves and a for a trip into Kendall. It honestly couldn't have been more perfect. Coffees outside in the morning, listening to the birds. Just bliss. Fran was very welcoming and always on hand to answer any questions. Thank you! ##### Abigail R. The views around the property are lovely and the birds were great to watch. The Barn itself has everything you need for a cosy and enjoyable stay. Fran pulls out all the stops and the barn is extra special, a credit to her. It is clean, homely and quiet, a haven for birds and a delight to sit out in the garden. It is close enough to the amenities of Kendal and only a short drive away from the surrounding beautiful lakes. The weather was kind to us and we would definitely love to visit again in the future.
