"This place is 100 years old and restored so cute. Not the Ritz by any means but charming comfortable and safe. No deli or stuff you might have forgotten. Food is within walking distance and taxis available. Ketchikan is a cool little town. Tried to get a picture of the elusive sea otters there "

"Nice location from the ferry terminal to the airport but bus is needed from downtown. Local grocery is next to the hotel. Room is clean and enough spacious. Kitchen is convenient but no kitchenware for cooking."

"The Bear Den was a great home base for our family of 4 in Ketchikan. We could easily head into town or south to see eagles and bears, or head north for open views and whale watching. The balcony was a great place to end the day with family games and a view. Comfy beds and setup. Loved this property."

"Family of 4 adults stayed for 3 nights. We were here for salmon/halibut fishing. Host, John was great with communications for several months prior to our stay.The property features 3 bedrooms (2 queens and a full lower bunk). Also a living room/ with well stocked kitchenette (microwave), and keurig coffee maker.. A cozy, comfortable place to escape the Ketchikan bustle...not pretentious. The views are spectacular with cruise ships passing by and bald eagles and golden eagles perched near the water. On street parking for larger vehicles. Shorter vehicles can park in the driveway.We have been doing VRBO for many years and this one is at the top of the list, with host John (on site) being most warm and welcoming. His breakfasts (bacon, eggs and hash browns; OJ and coffee ) were a great way to start the day.The house is walkable (5-10 minutes) to the 'downtown' touristy area--restaurants, etc..If we are ever in Ketchikan again, we would definitely call this 'home'.."
