It was a very nice "old school property". The staff was kind and attentive. Really the only challenging piece was the dining. Breakfast was in the ballroom, and quite good, but for lunch and dinner, it was difficult as the only formal dining area was outside by the beach. The food was great, just not an indoor option for lunch and dinner.

Pier House Resort is a great place to stay! Close to all the fun on Duval, private clean beach, restaurant and bars at the property, and great views of the water. Staff is friendly and very helpful.

This location is perfect and most of the staff were kind and helpful! They market it as a luxury resort but it honestly wasn’t luxurious is my opinion. Walls are thin so you are often hearing people in the hallway and the constant opening and closing of balcony doors was annoying. Anyone can just come into the pool area from the street because the side gate is always just swinging open. The hotel is cute and the location is amazing but the feel of the hotel was not luxury and didn’t match the price in my opinion. Also, we had a room by the pool so listening to DJ’s bumping techno at full blast while trying to relax was less than ideal but might totally be someone’s cup of tea.

The bedroom was filthy. Pee on the walls of the bathroom. The mini fridge looked like it has never been wiped down. It had caked on gunk on the doors. The bedroom furniture was disgusting and and full of food and oil stains. The towels we recieved had old blood stains on them. Our shower had hundreds of mini ants walking around in it. Over all the property grounds were nice and cute. Especially at night with all the lighting and hammocks. The continental breakfast had a good variety and was delicious and fresh. Besides the cleanliness, Everything else was doable.

Beautiful, quaint hotel. Clean comfortable beds and pools are lovely. Walking to many excellent restaurants. The staff is so nice. They got us in early and gave us a free upgrade.
