On the positive side the location is excellent with many great restaurants an easy walk. The breakfast bar was good, but limited as far as I could tell to Oatmeal (with a huge variety of toppings), pop tarts, and small glasses of juice. They did have coffee. The rooms were small but functional.
On the not so great side our room had a single stall shower (think phone booth) with walls on 3 sides. For me it felt a bit claustrophobic.
The hotels.com listing says they have laundry facilities, but that is wrong. We asked in person and they do not have onsite laundry. There are a couple of laundromats a short drive away that we used.
We had 2 issues while staying here. The 1st was with the door to our room. We left for the day on the 2nd day of our stay & returned to find our door cracked open. Nothing was missing & it didn’t seem as if anyone had been inside. We spoke with the front desk about it and they said we must not have closed the door securely and it cracked open due to the age and shifting of the building. It’s possible we didn’t close it securely I guess (though I was fairly certain we did), but this has never happened at any other place we have stayed ever.
Second issue, while relaxing on the shared outdoor deck, which is very nice, a panhandler came by and asked for money for cigarettes.
Both incidents combined I didn’t feel comfortable staying there any longer, especially since I had planned to stay solo for a few days. We cut our trip short.
